"two young men" couldn't push the car out of the way ?? This is either poor reporting or BS.

Get a life. How do you know if they had enough time to "push the car out of the way" as you put it.

if the car got stuck in the first place because of the conditions do you really think they could have pushed it?? when roads are this slick im sure they wouldnt have done too well trying to push it with no footing

Thank you DindoandRanger. I agree.

It's not like you can see a train from a long ways away in that area. They knew they didn't have nearly enough time to even attempt to push the car out of the way and they were very smart to get out of the car and out of the way. A car is replacable, they are not.

Uh, snow, I think you got the wrong thread. This is about a railroad track...

It says the car slid off the side of the road. The car may have slid onto the tracks off to the side of the crossing in which case there is no way they could have pushed the car back onto the road. Glad everyone is OK.

The problem was the 315rs,Wayne Co. issued a no travel advisory for cars, not cows. If these guys would have been driving cows instead of cars, like most 315rs do,maybe their would not be an accident But what I am doing is making fun of my fellow 315 friends. The main thing is folks no one got hurt, thank godness.

I'ma gonna smack ya one red neck man!

;-)

hehehe

BTW, that travel advisory may have been for the "entire county" but really, the worst of the snow was north of there. Macedon doesn't get a lot of snow as compared to, say, Ontario.

My hubby drove his buddy to work last night - drove from Palmyra to Williamson and hoo boy - white-out conditions. Was very glad to make it back home.

that is a particularly bad one but most RR crossings in Macedon suck and paired with a one lane bridge a few hundred feet away... I'm frusterated daily by these I cross them everyday at least twice :-/
