really we the rpd are a a waste of taxpayers dollars. you know what maybe your right what a waste of money it is to babysit funerals .festivals,or whatever else is attended by the same people who cause all the problems around the area over and over, but hey if that makes it easier for you im to justify im glad.remember who it is you call when something happens, hopefully we will be there there to help
Call it baysitting if you like. you say that you are sworn to protect & serve, yet they taunt all of you officers right to your faces. It isn't hard to spot a trouble maker. Call it racial profiling, I don't care. Just et them off of the streets and into the pig pen(oops, I meant slammer).

I say that RPD is a waste of taxpayer dollars, because I pay taxes and do not feel comfortable taking my family out to any functions that this city has. I do not want to have to bury a child of mine because of a stray bullet, or being mugged or stabbed for our shoes and chlothing that we(wife and I) work hard for. What's mine is mine, and I'll be damed if I let some thug take it from me. And besides my wife is beautiful and they hate the hell out of us for it.

Please Officer do a better job. Especially at night. Start killing them if need be. Shoot them between the eyes. We don't want or need them anywhere on Earth. Screw Rev. Jessie Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton. Who cares if they march. It's high time that we had some peace in Rochester.

"Sworn to protect"?? The RPD has wrongfully KILLED city residents, when it's been over 100 years since a city resident has killed an RPD officer.
How about that Officer Mac dragging a 14 yr old behind a vacant house, is that how you protect him??? Officer Mac wasn't even disciplined for that.
All your sworn to, is to cover for each other. Like all those dirty Greece cops, every single one of them came from the RPD.
And you talk all this racist stuff, like "the animal kingdom", well you know what, most all of the city cops are racist, and that's why hardly no city residents give a poop about them.
If I heard a city cop crying for help in the middle of the night, I'd laugh and go back to bed.

Well, your not from Rochester, so maybe you should leave if you feel uncomfortable around your own kind.
I've live in the City all my life, I like it, only think the RPD and the Mayor suck, but their days seem numbered now.
I was born and raised in Rochester. Simply had the pleasure of living elsewhere. And a much better and peaceful elsewhere I might add. Where I lived from 2004 until 2008, I didn't lock my car doors. Didn't have to. Didn't have to lock the house doors(but I did do that). Noone's house was broken into. NOONE. The only murder was when a drunken person drove into a crowd of people outside of a club. So, you can see that I have been many places other than this stinkhole, and I know what peace is. There I took my family on outing with fear of one of us beingstabbed, robbed or shot. To include at night.

I can see that you love this place. It's usually loved by people who have never known any better.

I do all that and I live in the city, and I have no fear.
So, whats your problem????
Don't like it, move then, cause bitchin about it on here ain't going to fix nothing for you, is it??
Obviously you don't fit in here in the city, as no kid born and raised in this city would have tried to get into the RPD like you did. If you were born and raised here, you would know that the RPD is a bunch of a-holes and you'd want nothing to do with then, especially if your half black like yourself.
Where I live in the city, the people around here, we have more trouble with stupid cops then criminals.

I agree with you on this one. When I lived in Philly back in the mid to the late 60's we never locked our doors or cars.Everyone in the neighborhood looked out for one another back then.I was down there last week during the day and locked my doors as I drove thru because of how the whole area has changed.seems like people just don't give a damm about anyone but themselves anymore. What a shame.

Rhonda just doesn't get it. And she is right, I don't fit in here. I am the "throwback" guy. The guy who believes in looking out for thy neighbor instead of robbing them. She is oblivious to her surroundings and finds nothing worng with people who rob, kill, maime and murder for absolutley no apparent reason. In Rochester if you have a dissagrrement with someone yu'd had bettr come up with some sort of weapon, and fast. She is also right about one other thing, instead of bitching about this place on the internet, I should move( that I've been trying all along). Time and chance is all that I'm waiting for now.

Haven't heard the stories lately of all the white people in the burbs leaving their valuables in the car and leaving their car unlocked???? Seems white kids from the burbs have been taking advantage of the situation. So, it might not just be a City thing anymore.

They nor you are NOT my brothers nor my sisters. My brother is a college grad and doesn't sell or use drugs. My youngest brother lives in NYC and is a model. So you can chew on your KEEN shoes all you want to.

And since you want to throw jabs, now I do agree with the original poster. You are a racist bitch. You make everything about color. Everything. Too bad you only know of Rottenchester(your pride & joy city). You are just as ignorant as your "broters and sisters running around Rottenchester like zombies.

And what makes you think that there aren't any black men from the city on the Police Force? You are just an idiot. Oops! I meant racist idiot.

Well every time you run into a city cop ask him where he was born and grow up. I don't even run into many black city cops, never mind a black cop from the city of rochester.

One of my Uncles went to school with a bunch of them. He went to the old Edison Tech back in the 80's. I know whose on the force. I'm not going to play that game. The only thing about the PRD that I hate is that they don't have passion for their duties as a protection and peace officer.

And you are?

Learn proper English. You know! The way your English Teacher tried to convey to you during school. That is if you went.

WTF is "isn't no"? What happened to there aren't any...??

I will entertain you, when you prove to be a worthy debater.

How many, or what percent of students at Edison Tech were black, to begin with??? lol

I'd be willing to bet there is NO black City Cop born and raised and still lives in the City of Rochester. NOT ONE.
But I bet there is a white one from every single surrounding community in the RPD.

Rhonda, Rhonda, sweet dear Rhonda. Why is everything color to you? What is it about you hatred for whites. Were you ever raped by a white man? Or robbed by a white man.
Did you find out that your stepmom was a white woman and she kicked you out of the house after the wedding? I mean, what is it with you?

Even if there are black officers who chose to move into the surrounding areas, good. I don't blame them. They were thinking in the best interest of their families. They became officers of the law in the first place in the best interest of their families. Like I said, I spke to my uncle today and said that many of the officers transferred to various departments, like Syracuse and Atlanta. Maybe it was the best carrer move they've ever made.

Lastly, since you're so concerned that there might not be any public figures whom are employed by the city that reside in the city, I'll give you one. The Assistant Mayor. He lives off of Portland Ave. How's that for you?

So you asked your uncle if there was any black cops from the city on the RPD, and instead of saying yes, he talked about some transferring??? lol Like I said, NO black male born and raised in the City would work for the RPD cause the know the RPD are racist pieces of poops.

And I never said "public figures".
