No injuries were reported and the involved buildings sustained minor damage, said Rochester Police Capt. John Corbelli.
The explosions, which occurred roughly 25 minutes apart, damaged Dream Cutz Barbershop, 122 Lyell Ave., and a porch at 31 Cameron St., according to Rochester Police.
The Rochester Police Departmentís Bomb Squad are investigating both explosions. It was not immediately clear if the two were related. Police said the improvised explosive devices used in the incidents may be a variety of fireworks.
The first explosion was reported to emergency dispatchers at 9:20 p.m. as shots fired. During the investigation, police found damage from an explosion in a vacant room at Dream Cutz Barbershop and a broken window. The barbershop was occupied but no one was injured.
Police then went to a Cameron Street home after an explosion was reported. Officers found minor damage on the floor of a porch.
Several apartments inside the residence were occupied but no one was injured, Corbelli said.
I bet "they" are involved!
