There's really nothing different then you and a black welfare criminal. Your nothing but trash. And I don't see a reason why the race of you woman has anything to do with it. Are you one of those guys that date Asians cause they do what ever you tell them?
If you did ALL the work in winning your lawsuit, maybe you should have done all the work to prove you were not a drug dealer?? Nah, you couldn't do that could you??
you're right walter, i should not have mentioned my fiance was asian. i should have just mentioned that she is very petite and pretty, and no, she does not do whatever i say.(she is of asian "descent", was born in america, so not the stereotype u are thinking). also, what's the difference between a black welfare criminal and a white welfare criminal, though I have never been on welfare, and my best friend is black, sold drugs in the 80's, and has never been on welfare. it's ok if u think i am trash, since u are entitled to your opinion, but i do not know how you formulate it, since u do not know me and cannot judge a person on what they did over 20 years ago. everyone changes, since character does not remain static, just as you are not the same person u were in your mid 20's, where i imagine u did a dumb thing more than once back then. additionally, i should have done my own criminal work, cuz i might have been able to prove an entrapment defense, but for the ontario county prosecutor withholding evidence (gee, there's a surprise). stay tuned regarding my criminal case, and u might be reading that it gets overturned next year....there is a motion being perfected right now for vacating judgment.

scorpio, if u stopped reading after the "20% mark", how do u know i own two businesses in maui?...lol....brilliant! I also did not say i think i am "gonna" be rich, since i am already worth 1.4 million in smart investments over the past 4 years, and i did that with the 50k that i won in my first lawsuit against the state (that lawsuit is mentioned in the article as well). i also did not find my fiance in maui, she is of asian "descent", since her parents were born in asia (they are both retired physicians, but she earned a scholarship to Harvard so she did not not have to work turning tricks as alleged by your ridiculous comments), and u have lost this debate because now u are just mudslinging and not basing any argument on facts.

Wow...what a thread! I have to say my disappointment lies with the judge more than with the defendent. How can an educated judge give into a story about an ex-drug dealer becoming an olympic runner? Weren't Mr. Kroemer's chances of going to the olympics ruined by his imprisionment rather than his so called injury? Hmmm???

It is quite sad that the hard earned tax dollars of my family, friends and community are going to someone who seems so flaky. Anyone who has to "name drop" (i.e. "she went to Harvard," "parents are physicians," "asian," "2 Hawaii buisnesses".....) is generally trying to overcompensate for their own MAJOR shortcomings.

Couldn't help it...just "googled" this guy. It appears he has made a career out of frivolous lawsuits. Pathetic.

I have been a NY tax payer for nearly 55 years. I am furious that our state is so utterly unscrutinizing in such nefarious matters.

<quoted text>dude, seriously, why all the anger, and u have no idea what u are talking about. first, my fiance is a lot younger than me, asian descent, and is a professor at eastman school of music, with a masters and Ph.D. from Harvard; second, the attorney is only getting 20% because i did most of the work; third, i have a real job, and i own two companies in Maui, both of which are doing well enough that i will be retiring next year anyway; fourth, you bring up the past from over 20 years ago (i'm over it, so maybe u should think of something else to write about other than trying to cut me down in order for u to try to feel better about yourself); fifth, i have never bitched or whined about my life, only stating the facts of the case, etc., and i am one of the most happiest people u will ever meet; sixth, are you one of these right-wing weirdos that go around blogging and writing cuz u have nothing better to do, have no friends, and are just plain miserable?(just askin'?). u gotta chill dog (btw, people make their own decisions in life...if one uses drugs they own it...no one selling drugs directly causes pain and suffering, unless they actually make someone use drugs. it's called mandate of free will...i am also of the belief that drugs should be legal, but that's another story, and i have never used drugs in my life). I won't respond to you again because u can't debate in an intelligent manner, and that is pretty sad commentary on you considering i am an idiot former drug dealer with only a four year college degree in business.
You are a narcissistic douche bag. You keep posting here trying to defend yourself and you actually believe that you can convince people you deserve the money. You are and always will be a criminal. Stop trying to defend yourself, you are getting more and more pathetic.

my chances of going to the olympics were ruined by my going to prison...that had nothing to do w/the damages. however, the damages lie in my not being able to enjoy what i have done all my life, and that is to run, usually twice a day (up to 110 miles a week), and i also had to go through the pain of a partial rupture of my achilles.(i already apologized for name-droping, and it was because the idiot Scorpio with whom i was going back-n-forth seemed to always want to attack me and my fiance, just as u attack me, not understanding that a person who brought a bag of cocaine to nys in 1988 is not the same person 22 years later. the idiocacy remains in those that think criminals are always criminals...is martha stewart still a criminal?...is oliver north still a criminal?...are all the actors and pro sports players that have been convicted of DWI's still criminals years later?). Regardless of your feelings of your taxpayer money, the damages still remain no matter what u think of me or what I do/did in my life...and if u knew anything about personal injury law u would realize that u and the others that criticize the case or award are truly morons....THIS WAS A SLAM DUNK CASE, my damages are huge, and if i could i would take my running long distances twice a day over the award in a minute. it u were an true athlete, u would understand the damages)

Actually, I have won the 4 out of 5 of the civil actions i have commenced, which is extremely hard, esp. when one is a prisoner.(judges almost always dismiss those cases before they reach trial unless the prisoner can show he has very good chance at winning by reason of the state's negligence or violations of due process) I have won two Article 78 actions (one outright, and the other was considered moot because it was overturned on administrative appeal in my favor prior to the court making a determinative ruling), and i won a federal civil case via state settlement because the state knew they violated my due process rights over a libery interest question, which they had no defense, and i won this recent state personal injury case. the many cases u are probably looking at which i lose are those that are dealing with my criminal conviction...that criminal case i have not won ...yet.

al, i'm not trying to defend myself. i am simply trying to educate a sadly misinformed portion of the public, esp. those that think a criminal is always a criminal some 22 years after an arrest. i think it is more pathetic the ignorance of certain people's mindset.

um, Jeff, I have received the money, am not dead, and paid the state nothing. I feel they still owe me for locking me up for 15 years, for a first felony offense, that was non-violent, and a case i would have won had the state's district attorney out of ontario county not withheld evidence in my case. Pro-prosecution minded individuals have no use in a public debate because they lack the knowledge of what really goes on in a large number of criminal trials, and your position that someone from prison who wins a personal injury case has to somehow pay the state back only shows your ignorance of law. I can't even respond appropriately to such moronic statements that you have posted.

Most doctors who work for the State do so because it is easier to get hired in a prison, than work on the outside.. think about it... the HIV and Hep cases, as well as TB etc are amplified greatly within the prison system...why would anyone in thier wildest dreams want to work in an increased risk pool of inmates full of diseases? This case doesn't surprise me....

Prisons are votes for politicians.
The politicians can claim they create jobs by hiring more guards and staff.
The unions that service these guards, help the politicians get re-elected.

These prisons need to have a population that justifies the large number of guards.
So, prisons have to be kept full. Otherwise, they couldn't hire their family members and friends to be guards.

So the politicians hire more cops, and create more laws that allow people to go to jail for the most frivolous reasons. Creating more jobs and winning favors from their unions.

Non-violent criminals, who go to jail, end up having to join a street gang to survive.
So NOW, your non-violent criminals become violent thanks to our own government.

Awesome!

I think that the second amendment would fix the problem.

No waiting for someone else to stop the criminals.

No repeat offenders to worry about.

and no paying for judges, DAs, prison guards and ALL thier retirement & benifits just so the crooks can get out early for good behaivor.

like the Dewey ave shooter.
