Arraignment Wednesday for a man in connection with a 2007 murder case.
Darrell Boyd, 48, was arraigned on second degree murder charges in State Supreme Court.
He pleaded not guilty at this morning's appearance.
The case dates back to April 2007 when Rochester firefighters were called to a house fire on Merchants Road. They found Katharina Lawn, 54, inside her apartment. She was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital where she died. Investigators at the time ruled that Lawn died of blunt force trauma. Rochester Police Chief James Sheppard says technology helped lead them to a suspect. Police say Boyd was incarcerated for fifteen months at the Clinton Correctional Facility on unrelated charges.
He was arrested just days after his release for Katharina Lawn's murder.
