This stuff is just full of poop.

One news article said 4 MCS deputies were killed in the line of duty since 1972. Well there was only 3, plus one died years after her line of duty and one had a heart attack.
If police departments don't make cops take annual physical fitness tests, then don't cry to us when the fat out of shape over paid cops die of heart attack while trying to do a job that they are no long fit to do.

""""Nearly 150 officers are killed in the line of duty every year,""" really??? killed?? they make it out as if they risk their life in a dark alley and are killed by a big black man, when in fact the majority are killed in car accident while they are driving like maniacs putting us all at risk while they are not wearing their seat-belts. Why don't they save money on silly plaques and just wear seat-belts???

And to top it off, a cop in this part of NY has to be one of the safest jobs around. More night clerks at 7/11 have been killing in the line of duty around here, and I don't see any plaques for them?

Are they going to have a sign for that female trooper that drove her car off the road while texting or putting on her make-up?

Like if your a trooper on your way to your post at a school, and your texting or putting on your make-up, would it be too much to ask for you to put on your seat-belt??

The last City cop that was really "killed in the line of duty" was back in December 11, 1959.

1959.

Thats over 50 years ago!!!!!!

MUST BE A VERY DANGEROUS JOB.

It's much more dangerous to be a city resident then it is to be in the police department that is hire to protect us.

Matter a fact, the RPD has wrongfully killed more city residents then city residents have killed RPD officers.

If your in the City and want to be safe, it's safer to be a city cop. Being a city cop in the "line of duty" as they call it, is NOT that dangerous.

I recall many city residents wrongfully killed by city cops.
Even currently there is a cop who use to be a city cop that has been arrested for shooting his son to death, the same cop in the city years ago shot a black woman in the back while she was walking away with her hands in the air, and to top it off she was the one that called the cops because of a domestic dispute where he man had been beating her for years.
I recall a black city man that was on drugs, that was put in a police paddy wagon with no a/c and left there without being checked on till they found him dead.
I recall a black man with mental problems that was off his meds and having troubles and he called 911 for help and the rpd came and shot him dead in his own drive-way.
I recall a black 14 yr old being shot to death in a car by the RPD.
I recall a city cop tripping over a rug in a house and shooting an unarmed man dead sitting on a cough with his hands up.
I recall many more, shall I go on and on???
Maybe the RPD should make signs for all the city residents they have killed so they can remember there mistake and learn from others mistakes??

I recall on Hudson ave RPD driving reckless on the wrong side of the street running over and killing a little black boy riding his bike in the parking lane.

I recall an RPD on his way into work in Henrietta running over a black kid and killing him on Leigh-high station rd.

You know RPD officers are really great, I bet most of them are responsible for killing someone sometime in their career and they still get to keep their job.

This cop loving group should team up with Dunkin Donuts and Tim Horton's and place these plaques on their stores property where all the other brothers in blue can pay respect to. I'm sure fellow officers can remember which doughnut place the dead cop visited the most. Maybe they can rename each doughnut store after a dead cop, just like they are trying to rename post office's after dead white suburban soldiers???

I bet you could walk up to any city cop and ask them the names of the last 3 city cops killed at work, and none of them will have a clue, yet they want signs so that we will have to remember??

Are these signs really for us to remember or just to make cops on the job today look better as if they have a really dangerous job when they really don't?
Is it for the dead cops or the alive cops?? really?

I bet Rachel doens't recall any of those.
She seems to only to investigative stories on people with no power, like Maggie who's time is almost up.
Seems like The Duffy gang and the RPD she will not go after.

People like you that make comments about people making comments instead of making a comment about the topic of the thread??

This thread is about Cop Plaques, so how about making a comment about it and feeling about the plaques??

You spoke of others using fake names as if your name is real.

Is your name real or fake like the other you talk poop about?

Nickbo, I think you have shown your true stupidity again.
