Seems every day someone is collecting money.
How much has been collected?
How much more is needed?
Don't they have life insurance?

Decent people donating to a good cause.
Thank God this money will all be going to good causes and not just basically be "thrown away"

Intelligent people know when to donate and when to say NO not throwing my money in the garbage.

I hope everyone starts thinking How? What? Where? When? and Why? their money will be used before they donate.

Every dollar donated to a good cause usually means a dollar not being wasted on a bad, unworthy cause.

Think, investigate and be sure before giving away your hard earned money.

Just cause your dad was killed at work it should be like winning the lottery.

Did they have life insurance??
Seems people are giving money thinking they didn't have life insurance. How much is needed?

Just because your dad is a slime ball who never worked. Welfare and debt should not be like winning the lottery.

Seems people are giving money thinking they aren't already giving a small fortune thrue tax dollars.
How much is needed?

Should the dependent class receive more than the working class???

This thread right here, Crotchety, shows every other person what a hateful, pitiful, disrespectful loser you are. If I cared, I might just feel sorry for you. It must suck to wake up every day being so angry, insensitive and self loathing as you are.

I don't think Karen Klein needed the amount of money she got to get over and recover from what she went through, and I don't think these families of the firemen need some endless amount of money.
When someone in your family dies it shouldn't be like winning some lottery. I agree I want their kids to be able to go to college and even drive a $20,000. car to college, but I don't see why they would need to drive a $100,000. car to college.
How much was the life insurance and how much has been raised so far, and how much more is needed??
I don't think any of these are stupid questions.

I think many of these so called fund raisers are more for the people or companies to profit off of then to actually raise money for the families.

Maybe I'll hold a fundraiser to look good in the public view??

I'll call the news stations, so I can be on TV and show what a great person I am, even if my fundraiser only raises $132.27

I think Americans, at least the white ones have forgotten the definition of the word "hero".

It's not about getting a big payday after.

Either be a hero and stop begging for money, or beg for the money and stop using the word hero.

I'm sorry to say i agree. While i wholeheartedly have sympathy for the tradgedy in Webster, and think the bullying done to the bus monitor was cruel & wrong - when is it enough? How many fundraisers need to be held? Aren't we getting a bit carried away and sensationalizing this? Yes it is a huge sad, horrible thing that happened, but do we need to raise a few thousand dollars,a million? Do months of dances, spaghetti dinners, and endless daily events prolong the healing for the responders and families who attend these fundraisers? Fine - have ''a few'' fundraisers, not 200.

Any money collected should ONLY go to the victims of the tragedy, including the families of the slain and the property owners of the house destroyed by fire. NO money should go to the town or the fire dept.

Sorry, that's just the way it is.

No money should be raised or donated for any other group in this situation. I will gladly reject those stupid boot drives that trap drivers into giving money at intersections. I will gladly reject any efforts to stop my vehicle unless an emergency is present.

Time to move on.

First let me say this was an unspeakable, horrific tragedy, and my heart goes out to all involved.
The fundraisers are out of control. I can see fundraisers in Webster where it happened, but not in every town. Who capitalizes on a tragedy? Enough!

Nobody's making you attend, nor contribute, for that matter. So why do you care? Just like to be hateful, huh?

WHY???? is "enough is enough" ???

Is it because tons of money is being raised for a very decent worth while cause???

Or is it because the Gib's me this, Gib's me that GIBS ME EVERYTHING crowed that already has everything Gib's to them for FREE feels they are getting the short end of the FREE hand outs?

Just wondering.
