You don't say what litter you purchased from and what problems you had with your pup. I have a puppy from her litter and do know of problems with others from the litter. My dog needed some work, but with training, is a good girl

Doberman's get a bad rap because of people who don't know how to handle animals properly. We had a doberman for years and he was a great animal. Of course, we had his shots up to date, kept him with annual checkups and didn't leave our baby outside in abusive weather etc.

IT'S NOT THE DOG'S FAULT THAT THE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE AND LOVE ANIMALS.

CHARGE THE OWNER OF ANY DOG WHO ABUSES, OR MALTREATS THEM. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TREAT THE ANIMALS RIGHT, THAN DON'T GET THEM.

OH, I FORGOT, SOME IDIOTS DON'T KNOW HOW TO RAISE CHILDREN RIGHT LET ALONE ANIMALS! WHAT LOSERS ALL ANIMAL ABUSERS ARE! THE POOR DOGS SUFFER BECAUSE OF THESE IDIOTS!

Wow, this is weird... I have had three dogs from Tory-Rei Dobermans and each has lived 10 years or more and in great health. I have to agree with the other comment that maybe it is you. Did you contact the breeder at all, and if so, did you wait until it was too late? So many "health issues" can be environmental, especially if the lines have health testing, which these do.

Maybe a resuce would be a suggestion for the future... save a life and not worry about the health, etc.

great point... so much has to do with the training, time spent and energy. The owner and family has so much to do with the behavior.:) Were the problems health related, temperament, behavior, or a mixture?

THEY LIVE TO BE 10 YRS OLD YO CONSIDER THAT LING ENOUGH wow they should live to 16 at times longer. That because you poor care they receieve AT SUCH A YOU AGE when its most importation. Breeders don't car its all about the money... Your taking these poor babies away from their mom,how you think the nun feels. People think animals have no feelings SAD!!! You people don't plans to keep the family together dint let your pet have babies. Heartless humans...

We were looking for a dobe and found my baby in the D&C, Jan. 2011. The older couple had purchased her from Tory-Rei and after 4 months couldn't handle her. When we went to her house to pick this little girl up, she would not come out from under the table. I thought with lots of love and work she would get beyond her fear. This breeder has unstable litters. After much research I have found that mixing European with American lines creates and unstable dobe. As for my girl coming from Tory-Rei - they BUTCHERED her ear when they cropped her, it now flops. Which I find adorable, but not the point. She is afraid of everything and shows aggression both in equal amounts. As I am trying to get to some root causes and trying to get her some help for her severe anxiety and aggression I have found that she came from that final litter of Casey/Lucy on Sept. 19, 2010. I would be interested to know if anyone else has a puppy from that same litter and has had the same behavioral issues. At this point, we haven't found any serious physical issues as I have heard from other posts regarding these litters - and god I hope not. She is Just 2 1/2 now so I guess we wait and see. I cannot imagine losing her at such a young age.

You are so right!!! A dog should not be blamed and labeled vicious or bad because of an ignorant or neglectful owner.
It is the owners fault if a dog bites, attacks, etc... People need to stop blaming the dogs and singaling out certain breeds.
Cops also need to stop shooting so many dogs. What about rubber bullets, tasers, pepper spray. Pit Bulls get a bad rap because of so many blacks owning them & treating them to fight, bite, be mean, attack. These scum bags have ruined the reputation of these beautiful, loving, sweet dogs.

...interesting that I see a lot of negative comments about Tori Rei dobermans. Maybe time that she stops breeding for the sake of the breed.
If there are so many people complaining, there might be a reason behind it. Just something to think about.
