The point of this shooting was senseless. The police did not arrest this pert ( who is now the victim), because he was the neighborhood drunk who was a menace with his mouth and not with a gun. The shooter did not have to stop his ranting with 8 bullets. The hammer found in the bag was still in the bag when he got shot. Shooter was gun happy and should pay for this crime.

i think its disgusting this guy was charged. the man shot was clearly a criminal, he was a threat, the cops came, let him go, after knowing the guy was making thrneats and was already acting in a confrontational manner. at the very least the cops could have arrested him for the night on harassment charges. instead they let him go. the guy went back, continued to act aggressive, and a MAN stood up for whats right and put down the criminal, but because it wasnt a cop who put him down, the MAN is arrested. The Man was arrested to make an example out of him for the rest of us. they want the rest of us to cower, they want us to be victims, they want us to get used to giving in and rolling over and playing dead. if we do anything other then freeze like a deer in the headlights, or dial 911, we are automatically criminals also because they need to make an example. Well i say SCREW EM!
I too wished this was the town of Mayberry where the police would lock up the town drunk until he was sober. But since it is not Mayberry, we as human beings should acknowledge when someone needs special help when they are crying out for attention. Shooting a person once gets their attention. But 8 times, is rather inhumane. Victim is struggling with missing organs and bullets still remaining in his body. It did not have to end up this way. When will we as black people start looking out for each other, since no one else seems to care.

Yeah? And Otis the Drunk NEVER threatened anyone in Mayberry when he was drunk. Nor did he walk around with a backpack with weapons.
