Weather forecasting in our area is out of control. It amazes me how 50 percent of local newscast time is spent on weather. Rochester weather is so predictable! The whole objective of bringing so much weather "news" during a news cast is either some kind of scheme or fluff necessary for below average news casts that are full of press releases and hardly any news. Local weather nerd from channel 8 takes the cake.

Did you ever notice during nightly news casts on channel 10, right after the anchors talk about some horrible accident, murder, or fatality, they go right to this clown who starts his weatherman carnival act full of glee like humor and pilates like frolicking in front of the blue screen.

He goes on and on and on. I'm surprised he hasn't yet cracked out a power point presentation lecturing viewers on weather patterns, meteorological definitions, and a systems analysis of the meteorological data and technology. But wait ... that's exactly what he does!!! Dude, just give us a quick prediction and get out. We don't need a crash course in meteorology every night.

Then there are the times he gets all excited about bad weather. ARRRG!!!!!!

Shenanigans like the full half hour weather spot on Saturday night, which was basically an insult to the people in our region, is a new low. The guy was talking to WESTERN NEW YORKER'S like we had never seen or heard of winter before. Believe me we have it covered. We're not from Pennsylvania, you are.

Cable is here local weatherman, and so is the internet, so go away now. The Rnews format rocks.

Notable disgraces:

G-A-N gan for a home run. What the does that mean !@#$. It's Rochester not ESPN and it doesn't make sense. Don't act like a W-T-B want to be. Act like an amateur, stay an amateur.

Channel 10 - News at 7pm too?!?!?! We have more news casts than NYC and Chicago combined. Lets see three syndicates with news at 5, at 6, and one at 6 and 7 in the evening, nightly news at 11, news that starts at 6 until 9 in the morning based on a population of 750,000 people. What a waste of time and resources. That's sure going green.

The "Go Green" spots: A question to the reporter of “Go Green”. Do you use low capacity shower heads in your home, do you wear organic clothing all the time, is your floor made of bamboo composite, are all your furnishings made of 100% recycled materials? If your answer is yes, your hair and scalp are quite oily and you require more than one shower a day, and you make a ton more money than all of us because all the go green items you throw at are not cost effective for families with broken 401's, lost jobs and lost wages. Quit rubbing in the idea life into my real life.

I'm disgusted with the way they sensationalize the least little amount of flakes and love to scare everyone, saying a big storm is coming that never gets here, they think they can tell us what is going to happen a whole week from now and they can't even get it right for the next hour! They obviously don't even look out the window, maybe they don't have one, because most of the time they're wrong about what's happening RIGHT NOW, and give us severe weather alerts AFTER it gets here! I always figured it must be really easy to get a job as a weatherman. What other job can you get where you're wrong 80% of the time and still keep your job? And what's this about every channel being different? They all get their info from the National Weather Service, but they're so different you just know it's anybody's guess! Love It!

Why are you so uptight about this funny, good natured, entertaining meteorologist?
If you don't like his style, change the station.
I think he's the best weather man on tv.
He takes an otherwise mundane job of weather forcasting and makes it enjoyable to watch. He adds a little humour, whats wrong with that? I think he's a great guy and very good at what he does.
You need to chill out and stop being such a whiner.
Turn to a different channel if you want a plain run of the mill forcast.

Your 3 hour rant is a thesis. You sound like a very angry, bitter person. Maybe you should talk to someone. Life's too short to go through it pissed off about trivial things like the weatherman.
