After living in Rochester's historic Maplewood Neighborhood for nearly twenty years, Citygov is finally paying attention to some of our infrastructure problems! ""Photech site is within spitting distance of Maplewood’s Lagrange residential section."""

NOT University Avenue; it is NOT East Avenue; it is NOT Park Avenue; it is NOT the South Wedge; it is NOT Cornhill; it is NOT Collegetown or Midtown, and neither is Lagrange, nor is the Photech site in the Maplewood section.

So, Mind your own business and worry about the Maplewood section and not other areas.

Maplewood Neighborhood - Seems to include every thing north of Lyell, west of the river, out to Mt. Read Blvd. Not sure where the northern boundary would be. Little or no connection to Upper and Lower Maplewood Park, which makes it confusing.

Crosswalks - Lay concrete crosswalks and emboss them til the cows come home - I'll cross the street where I want, when I want, and where I think it's safe.

Citygov - "Might clear out broken pavement and replace it with asphalt ... which then remains forever, giving some sections of the Dewey Avenue corridor a tacky look."

I think victims of armed robbery littering the pavement give the Dewey Avenue corridor a tacky look, but that's just me. Asphalt patches? Not so much.

Phototech - Compared to the artificial turf Rochester Products had the guts to lay down, the Phototech site looked good.

Aside from that, I'm pretty sure that prior to Phototech occupying the site, it was Bell & Howell.
