An Arcade man accepted a plea bargain last week that will result in a nine-year prison term for his role in a 2012 robbery of a migrant worker in the town of Pike.

Brandon Suckow, 20, pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery, a Class C violent felony, in a May 2 appearance in Wyoming County Court. He will also be sentenced to 2 1/2 years of post-release supervision, under the agreed-upon conditions of the plea arrangement worked out in front of Wyoming County Judge Mark H. Dadd.

Suckow was the last of eight defendants to accept a plea bargain in connection with a spree of migrant worker robberies that occurred in the summer of 2012 in Wyoming County. Sheriff’s Department investigators believed 13 or more robberies took place.

Suckow was allegedly part of a gang of nine young adults and teenagers who attacked seasonal laborers who worked on Wyoming County farms in 2012. The method they used was to have females in the group lure the Hispanic workers toward them.

Seven defendants have accepted plea bargains in Wyoming County Court. A 15-year-old girl who was part of the group of suspects was not charged.

The sentences handed down on the seven suspects varied from probation to state prison time. Suckow’s case is the last one to reach resolution because he fled the state.

Suckow will receive the longest prison sentence, a determinate nine years. That means he has to serve 6/7’s of his time — it is eight years and 208 days — before he is eligible for parole.

Two other robbers received eight year sentences.

Authorities located Suckow Jan. 15 in North Carolina. He was extradited Feb. 21 to New York.

Suckow was also charged with a violation of probation because he was enrolled in Drug Court at the time he committed the robbery in Pike.

The defendant remains in jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. Suckow’s sentencing hearing is June 10
