Woman Charged with Abusing a Person with Special Needs

A Rochester woman is charge for allegedly abusing a person with special needs at a Brockport facility.
The State Justice Center says Jacquelyn Bernabeu, 24, of Lake Vista Court worked as a ommunity living instructor at Lifetime Assistance. According to the complaint, Bernabeu allegedly grabbed a resident with intellectual disabilities by the ankles and dragged the person down the hallway into a bedroom.
Bernabeu was placed on administrative leave. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a vulnerable person and will be arraigned later this month.
