In five years they will be boarded up and need more money to rehab them to bring them up to code and made livable again. I have seen that happen 1000's of times before in section 8 housing and other housing that cost the tenant and owners nothing or close to nothing. I hope that I am wrong, but history seems to repeat itself time after time, sad.

What is worse, is how the money for these homes was a grant from HUD.
These grants have clauses in them that take local control of zoning laws, and gives control to a federal bureaucracy.

They follow the Agenda 21 model, so that means zero carbon footprint.
One can of trash a week, energy star appliances that spy on you ... and a whole host of things that will make you feel like you are in prison.

You should read about the brad Pitt houses in New Orleans
http://m.chron.com/news/houston-texas/texas/a...
Pitt collected all that money to help the victims of Katrina, but his Eco liberal plans proved to be too much for the local residents.
None ov the locals want anything to do these government subsidized houses, so almost all of them are empty

Many Habitat homes are trashed or burned or boarded-up.

Also, why would anyone want a nice home in a crap neighborhood?

I wouldn't drive down those streets during the day let alone freakin live there.

Rhonda you keep giving yourself away every time you say "Duh!". You are the only one that ever uses that. The same happened when you posted word for word what RePig said using your name in the next post. You need to CYA a bit better troll.
