Two University of Rochester students were robbed at gunpoint in their University Park apartment Sunday night. The robbery happened around 7 p.m.

The University says two suspects entered the apartment through the front door wearing dark clothes and ski masks. One of the suspects was holding a gun.

One student was ordered to put electronics into a suitcase while the other student was told to lay on the floor.

Neither student was injured. They called 911 from a neighboring apartment after the suspects left.

Police are still looking for the suspects. The University says that security patrols in the area have been increased.

What the hell. The new gun laws were supposed to make us safer! What is going on here? Were we lied to about being safer now that the new shoved in your face gun laws are in place? Why hasn’t the politicians explained how the new laws will help us. It doesn’t seem to be working.

I wonder if these thugs had only 7 rds in their glocks? I sure hope so, otherwise they'd be breaking the law.

And btw, wtf was the U of R thinking by putting these apartments over the crime bridge (whoops I forgot they opened another crime bridge)...over the crime BRIDGES, in da hood?

It doesn't make sense that this happened. Those are campus apartments, so they're "gun free" zones. Didn't the criminals read that sign? Those are the same signs we have "protecting" our elementary, middle and high schools.

These U of R students were obviously not armed. One was made to lie on the ground. That is a scary, helpless feeling.

It is against the law for law abiding citizens to have guns on school property.

Criminals know this.

The Liberal way, ban guns from those who abide by the law.

Easy targets to say the least.

And then protect those unarmed students with unarmed campus security. That's how liberals like it. All for only $45k a year. What a deal!

Instead of building extra bridges, they should blow them up to seperate the campus from the hood.

Today's Full Moon will have a powerful impact on your health during the next few months. Maybe this is the spur you need to inspire you to take better care of yourself, such as improving your diet, getting more exercise or finally consulting the doctor about something that's worrying you. It will also be the end of a chapter connected with your work, but don't fret because this ending will lead on to a new beginning.
