It's sad in a nation where a few shout "We are a nation under God" that so many people are becoming poor.

You can thank Obama and the rest of the democrats who continue to dole out welfare checks and food stamps to keep the poor dependent on the government, when they should be fostering a sense of self-worth in these people and encouraging them to seek education and actual employment in order to be proud of their own accomplishments.

States do the welfare programs. Republicans held the budget hostage again until foodstamps were cut for the poor so rich farmers could make more money. Corporate farmers.

You can thank the fact there are REAL caring human beings in New York. All deaths from starvation in this nation are blood on the hands of the republicans and those who vote them in office.

Okay, Cookie... it's time for you to put the gin bottle away and get sober. Now go wash those uncaring bloody hands of yours and get them out of my pockets; I work for a living and can't afford to continue giving you all my money to support your multiple addictions. Barack Hussein Obama: "Lie of the Year"... and then some... Cookie Parker: "Commie bloodsucking theif of the Century" ... and then some...

Careful. You'll be reported for trolling.

Why do you think you have a job and millions of Americans don't? Why do you think it's okay for you for be taxed so the oil companies don't have to pay taxes? Why do you think the poor in this nation are poor by choice?

How many other people could do your job if you were fired because you started making more money than the company wanted to pay?

Why do you believe children in the US should go to bed hungry?

Cookie ......
As a business owner I'm taxed to crap.
Government didn't build my business .... I did.
I used to believe Nobama lied when he said that Government built business in USA.
Now I think he may have been telling the truth.
Look at Wilmorite.
Wilmorite corporation taxes were waived and then government gave him millions to build Park Point.....with my tax dollars.
Wilmorite is just one of many in the rochester area.
Corporate welfare is both a democrat and republican taxation without representation.
I'm tired of feeding Hillary's communist village idiots and I'm tired of bailing out other people's business failures .... Such as Wilmorite... Banks .... Insurance .... Autos...and many more.
If I wasn't taxed so much to build and bail out other companies and feeding the poor....I would have been able to create jobs.
Jobs create freedom , self worth and not dependency on others.
I know I can spend my tax dollars much better than government can.
Government has no business being in business ..... Period

Careful before you continue to threaten me, you world-renowned queen of disgusting trollism. Your vile reputation follows you on every thread you poison.
Why do you think Obama won "Lie of the Year"?
Get a job and stfu already, you ignorant twit!

Sadly being poor knows no religion or color. We are all in this together whether we like it or not. Somebody has to pay for food and housing the two basic needs.

You sound frustrated. Imagine losing your job and finding out that in Right to Work Republican states, you can't collect unemployment. And finding out the welfare covers only one of your three children.

I am sorry for your frustration, but face it. You're not succeeding NOT because of taxes, but because wages are so low in this nation, your product is not in high demand.

Before you ask why Iím discussing such a political nonstarter, know that small business underpayments add up. The IRS estimates (PDF) that $179 billion annually in unpaid federal taxes comes from individuals underreporting business income on their personal returns from what are known as pass-through entities and underpayment of self-employment tax. We could eliminate 16 percent of the budget deficit if this subset of American taxpayers paid all the taxes they owe.

Congress couldnít raise this kind of money by going after big corporations. The IRS estimates that underreporting by large corporations (those with more than $10 million in assets) amounted to $48 billion in 2006, the latest year for which data are available. Add the $19 billion that small corporations underreport to the $179 billion mentioned earlier, and you can see that small business accounts for about four times as much of the tax gap as large corporations.

There are two sides to every story. IF our economy is going to come back, we NEED taxes to go up for corporations, the upper 1% and all land and businesses controlled by churches. They can keep their one main church...but tax all the businesses they have.

Hey "Cookie" the Daily Kos called and they are looking for their village idiot so you might want to go back there and tell them you are busy spewing your anti-American bile on these threads zippy. That way they won't worry about you. OH Yea, go hug a tree, Al Gore will be proud of you.
Cute little Limbaugh slams only proves you know nothing of what this discussion is about. That's pretty unAmerican to NOT know what your political party has been doing and STILL voting for them because you hate the black guy and all democrats.

Government has replaced fathers...in many poor homes. Some people fall on hard times through no fault of their own..we know this. But the baby daddy culture..where a young man fathers numerous children and does not pay child support is rampant.

We live in the land of $5 pizzas and $.99 double cheeseburgers. No reason for someone to go hungry. If your starving and able bodied your not trying to feed yourself.

Most of which requires a car to get there which should require car insurance and money for the $3.42 per gallon gas.

It's not eating that's causing childbirth. It's the removal of birth control and abortions for the poor. YOU demand they go without, YOU pay for supporting all these children they are forced to bear.

agree.....but social agencies have to dig in and get a program together to get something back in exchange for help...morals....children in one family with different fathers who do not pay support therefore the father is the taxpayer. Family court has been dismal in quite a few instances.. Chaos occurs. A hangout is not good when raising children. No wonder so many kids are a mess and cannot learn. Where is their peace. These kids have a hard time rising above it.
