Do you know this for certain? This location is not showing up on Nordstrom's web page listing its stores opening up through 2013. There has been talk that Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus, Saks, or some other store might open at Eastview, but I have not heard a confirmation of this either way.

Eastview Mall isn't Rochester.

LOL. Victor, NY is still considered the greater Rochester area. Looks more likely that Neiman Marcus is the store opening at Eastview and not Nordstroms. Time will tell, though.....

Did the title of this thread say:
"NORDSTROM is coming to the greater Rochester area"???

Are you kidding me? You must be joking. If you are from Rochester, you would know that many of the surrounding areas (outside of the confines of the city of Rochester) within the 585 area code are considered to be Rochester. Geez!

Who considers it Rochester????
If it's not Rochester, it's not Rochester.
You might wanna claim your from Rochester, cause no-one knows where Victor is.
If you don't pay City Property taxes where you live, your not in Rochester. Rochester is a City, there is No County named Rochester. You people make me sick claiming your from Rochester when your not, and you always have to put your nose in Rochester's business. Do you ever see city residents putting their nose in the business of any Town in the area???
Then you try to ZIPE CODES and AREA CODES as proof that you are in the City. Let me tell you something the broke post office or the old phone company doesn't get to determine the city boundries or who is in Rochester or not. So, I don't care what phone number you have or what your mailing address is or even what you claim your location is on your fb page. Even our stupid Mayor is mixed up, he thinks city residents work at PAETEC.

Why are you allowed to post on here?
Why are you allowed to live?
Go somewhere and die.

Who considers it Rochester...Anyone witha BRAIN,thats who..It's The Greater Rochester NY Metropolitan Area...MSA=Metropolitan nStatistical Area via The U.S. Federal Government !!!!!

Its definitely not Neimans at this time.
Wilmorite said, "It's a store not found BETWEEN Chicago & NYC."
Neimans is in Michigan at Somerset Collection (Mall)so that eliminates Neimans.
What store isn't in Michigan nor Ohio ???

Ok, Einstein (derbin), my hometown is Greece but I've living in NC for 20+ years. When I tell someone down here where I'm from I don't say "Greece", I say Rochester. Most people know Rochester (although they might wonder which state) but nobody knows Greece.

Nickbo, nobody knows Greece cause its a little piece of poop.
But stop telling people you are from Rochester when your NOT.
Why not say the truth, say "Greece a little dirty crime ridden town outside of Rochester"?

On Tuesday November 1st, 2011, Wilmorite announced all Bon-Ton stores are leaving their Rochester malls & that Wilmorite already has other retailers signed up to take over the buildings.

Bon-Ton has been doing very poorly company-wide, as it is amongst the worst managed retail chains on the entire planet, with unappealing merchandise selections, poor merchandising techniques, outdated fashions, dull presentations, rude & even hostile customer service practices :

"The Pennsylvania-based retailer,Bon-Ton announced it's closing several stores around the country, several in its native Pennsylvania, including a Bon-Ton in York,PA & Elder-Beerman department stores

It does not matter what upscale store comes to the Malls next. The pie is shrinking fast for $35.00 socks and $150.00 shirts. Bon Ton and all the rest are loosing their butts off. Expect many malls empty in about 5 years as America goes through a financial collapse. It will happen. No jobs, No Health Insurance, No secure jobs, stock market down 90% ( next 4 years) means no money to spend.

I posed the question directly to Nordstroms whether it would be opening a store in Rochester, NY. It denied any store opening in the area, but did say it has been looking at Rochester for awhile as a possible location for its department store.

The next stores to go are Lord And Taylor and Macy's. 2 more stores that have prices that are out of this world. You have to have a good job to afford their prices. The problem is that most do not anymore. My prediction is that in 7 years Eastview mall will will look like much like the Irondiquoit mall. Very Empty. It may a few stores but not what it has now.
