Duffy couldn't say enough good things about our new Mayor -- when Channel 13 pointed a camera in his face at the inauguration. He just churned on and on about what a qualified person she is. He's such a politician and talking head.

I wonder if Bob Lonsberry went to the inauguration. He went on and on for over a month that he was going. After trashing Mayor ditys husband all week and a few others. Bob started talking about baby sitting issues Friday.
I bet Bob "chickened out". Bob is such a dirt bag!
Just like most of the commenters here, Bob and listeners......they don't live in the City. So their opinions have little, if any, value.

Yep, Duffy sure is and always has been a flaming leftist liberal loon. A true NY Democrat.

Following your logic, as distorted as it is, would mean because some shelp from NYC comes up for Canal Days In Fairport. He should have some say as to who should be the Mayor or Police Chief of Fairport. Good luck selling that to Fairport residents.....cause it sounds exactly like the crap your trying to sell here.

You should study up on the how sales tax, property tax and NYS subsidies are disbursed in Monroe County. Because you are completely WRONG in every aspect.
The County doesn't give dime one to the City. Actually it's the other way around. Both in property tax and sales tax.
The County assesses the City at a higher tax rate than any other municipality in in the County
The City also has more taxable parcels than an other municipality in the County.
Sales Tax revenue generated in the City is only reviled by that of Henrietta and Greece. The only reason that money comes back to the City via the County is by State law and Judicial decree.
Here's a little something you should also know. Upstate NY doesn't generate enough sales tax and income tax revenue to coco re its own nut. Your tax money that you believe is being funneled into the City isn't yours. Remember that shelp from NYC it's his, Westchester's, Suffok's and Naussau County's; by the way Rochester receives the least of any large Upstate City.

This grest burden you believe the City is and only survives because of your patronage is compltely false and misguided. the Cith through its own means is more than selfsustaining. These are all easily researchable facts on the web.

We went thru this 2-3 years ago and you were proven that you were wrong than and yet you still try to spin that lie ? Once again, go read the Monroe County website and this time try to understand what you read, if that is possible. Just to help someone out that has far less education(you), the taxpayers in the burbs pay a good portion of the city operations costs. Most, if not all of the "entitlements" are supported by the county and state IE: the suburbs. Most of the costs (courts, public defenders, State Police patrols, HEAP, section 8, ect. welfare) all are supported by money from taxpayers in the burbs. If you ever did any research instead of running off at the mouth you would know these things, but of course you won't because your whole thing is spin(lies) and causing trouble zippy. You either can't understand a spread sheet or you are nothing but a troll. Want to try again with your B/S?

You weren't able to prove anything thing other than you're able to regurgitate what you suck down from FOX news and Loonsberry.

The "entitlements" as you call them are available to all County residents, not just those residing in the City. Beyond that most of what you sited are federally funded programs that the County just administers.

Keep reaching.......

Thanks for proving my point that some of the taxes the people in the burbs pay some of what the city gets for section 8 housing, ect. It is strange that you forgot to mention anything about the S/P, courts, Monroe County jail ect., why? You also seem to forget that every program provided by the federal/state/county government is paid for by all taxpayers which out number the taxpayers in the city by a huge amount. BTW: It is "cited" not "sited". Good try zippy, go read the county spread sheet and see how wrong you are. If it wasn't for the taxpayers in the burbs you and the rest of the city folks in Rochester wouldn't have 1/2 of what you get in entitlements. Now lick your wounds and admit that you city folks need us from the burbs and we have the right to express our views. Gee it looks like you have been owned again, lol!!!!!!!

Pigpen you just can't get enough off being wrong........
There is Section 8 housing throughout the County it's available to everyone. County government has nothing to do with the administration of the Section 8 program.

Every Taxpayer in the State pays for the SP's, not just those in the burbs.

The City pays the County to house it's prisoners. Part of that deal included giving the County the old PSB to expand the jail. Maggie recently broke that deal by jacking up the rate on the the City for its prisoners.

Keep at it nickbo.

The City of Rochester, Department of Environmental Services, is responsible for construction, maintenance, and service to city streets. Both the State of New York and County of Monroe provide financial assistance to the City for improvements to major city streets. These improvement projects are generally administered by the City, but may be administered by the state or county.

The county pays for traffic engineering, traffic signals and traffic signs in the City of Rochester at an annual amount of about $ 1.4 Million.

That's all great information but, the County provides the same services and financial assistance to the Towns and Villages.

That is exactly what I been saying, the taxpayer's in the burbs pays millions of dollars each year into the city but you are too dense to understand. Thanks for proving my point zippy. If it wasn't for the taxpayers in the county which you say provides no taxes to the city, your city would look like a war zone, oh it already does. Now be a good little boy and go crawl back under your section 8 rock.

That's not what you've be saying. You rattle on and on ad nauseam, about County paid entilltements to the City. At every turn you're proven wrong.
When you actually find an entitlement paid for by the County that only goes to the City and no other Towns get back to me.
