Rochester, NY -- Democrats want the Monroe County Legislature to go on record against the proposed Seneca Nation casino in Henrietta.

Democrat Justin Wilcox has submitted a resolution for consideration May 16th.

He says the concerns raised by local residents show a casino is not in the community’s interest. And he says it is not clear that a casino would boost the local economy .

The resolution calls on the Governor to oppose amending the agreement with the Seneca Nation, which currently allows only three Seneca Casinos statewide

Only for two reasons dew, 1) they haven't figured out how to get their crooked sticky fingers in the pot, yet. 2) It is what THEY want the people to think because it is an election year. Do you really think they care about any of the towns as long as they get votes and stay in power? They just say what they think the people want to hear, check their pass promises and record. They control the state and shaft the working people like Cuomo has been doing since he has been in office by raising taxes, pushing more regulations that kill both big and small business every chance he and his party gets. Cuomo has this great plan to cap taxes and hand out property tax rebates because he knows it will buy votes, but watch what happens to those tax caps and rebates after the midterms, poof! they will be history and the taxes will go up again. They do it every time and they will never change knowing that Joe/Jane Q public aren't smart enough to remember and will follow along like sheep. The public better start watching to what the government is doing and get involved, not who is going to win American Has Talent or what Hollywood star is getting married before our country becomes a third world cesspool controlled by a dictator.

@you never get it. Yep. The Town Officials tried to sneak this one under people's radar. The Indian's buy 30+acres and the town officials say they don't know anything about it. Johnson being paid by competitors to represent the citizens. Senecas complained they weren't allowed to have a discussion with the people. Wait, buy land first and discuss later? Now the Dems: "We're only thinking of you." This cesspool stinks to high heavens no matter what side of the issue.
