By the way genius, the Marine Corps has sleeping bags too, especially for their combat units. You should check these things out before you try to be something your not
PHONY
How can you tell me that Marines use sleeping bags, when you were never in the Marines and I was??
They never ever issued use sleeping bags. All we got was the thin roll out foam padding and a poncho. We carried the foam roll but never used it, and we only used the ponchos if it was raining.
Unless your talking about Marines in Alaska in cold weather training, Marines do NOT use sleeping bags, pillows or teddy bears, and we ALWAYS sleep with the rifle sling wrapped around our arm while we laid on top of our rifle.

Keep going with your lies you idiot, that foam roll is so you can put your sleeping bag on top of it. You wanna try again to look stupid, go ahead. I have plenty of friends that are in the Marine or have been in the Marine corp and a sleeping bag is standard issue to ALL troops. Now stop smoking your crack pipe.

Read the article I posted you idiot, it says NEW sleeping bags, which means your OLD sleeping bag got replaced.

The mummy bag has been issued to Marines and Army troops since world war 2 and is part of your basic issue. Just because you didn't use your sleeping bag doesn't mean you weren't issued one. Now please stop looking stupid and arguing this point. You have already proved that you weren't in the marines you wanna be PHONY

You sure you didn't serve in the girl scouts, I know how you could get the 2 easily confused.

Marine in M-1949 Mountain Bag, Outpost Carson (Hill 27), Korea, 1953.

Check it out, a Marine in a sleeping bag in Korea, guess you were the only Marine they didn't get a sleeping bag in their initial issue. Better go back to supply and pitch a bit**.

You better call and ask your Marine buddies, cause we were never issued sleeping bags. Our Company might have had sleeping bags for us stored somewhere, but we were never given them and never used them. The thought of a Marine in a sleeping bag is soo funny.
And another thing Marines don't like to be called "Troops".

You say you have Marine friends, so why not call and ask them??

Where would someone even wash these big sleeping bag?? They wouldn't fit into normal size washers as they have on Camp Lejeune, never mind in Vietnam.

So where did you kid's sleep usmc, on a pile of leaves? Under some burly bark? Naked under the stars?

I am beginning to wonder if you are already worried where to do your laundry...

its comical to even think of marines with sleeping bags.
we slept on our rifles. with all our clothes on.

so do army guys remove their dirty clothes before getting in their bags?

marines are out in the field for long times with no showers, dirty and stinky, at times there may be mug all over us, at times we may be wet.
and you think we would climb into a sleeping bag like this???
i can only imagine the state of the bag after a few days.

the simple fact that there was no washers big enough to handle washing such bags, should be a good clue that we either didn't have them or never used them.
I believe maybe our company had our sleeping bags, maybe they kept them in the supply storage? But i never saw them in all my years, and its not even realistic for us to try using them.

You know what? I can't even picture real Army soldiers using sleeping bags.
Maybe it was just the loser soldiers like you nickbo that were in the Vietnam that used these sleeping bags, because you were more interested in being comfortable and getting your sleep then you were in winning the war.
Maybe if they didn't give you sleeping bags, it would have made you a little tougher, and that toughness could have won us the war instead of letting all you sissy butts lose the war?

Like I said, maybe in Alaska.
But anywhere else NO.
We had winter coats, and then even better winter type coats, but never sleeping bags.
Why would I make it up?
No one in my company wear underwear either.
I'm I making that up too??
When I was around 7 years old I had a sleeping bag at my grandma's house, I use to sleep into on the living room floor while watching TV. But I never had one all my years in the military.
And even when in the rear like at Camp Lejeune we had bunk racks and our beds were made all of the time, we never slept under the covers, we slept on top of the covers.
I guess that's the difference between the Army and the Marines, or pieces of puke and real hardcore men.
Now go get in your sleeping bag, and don't let the bed bugs bite, you little wussy.

You're a dope. And no one wore underwear? Were u gay and had to check. Sounds gay to me. Oh and by the way, you are one of the biggest liars it's not even funny.
No one sleeps in a sleeping bag in the barracks you moron. In basic almost everyone slept on top of their blankets. You make it sound like you jarheads came up with the idea.. You were issued a sleeping bag stupid, its basic issue. If you chose not to use it then thats your problem, but you had sleeping bags retard. Your not hardcore, you're an idiot.

I'd like to see you call a company of marines gay.
In the Marines we did everything together. We didn't have separate rooms, we didn't have separate showers, we didn't even have walls around each toilet. And I'm not talking about just basic training when I said we slept on top of our bed clothes, we did it all the time.

The more you talk about you and your time in the Army, it sounds like you never saw another soldier naked, you must have had all private toilets and showers, and you all sleep under the covers when on base and in sleeping bag when in the field, and you all wore underwear cause none of you did to much for the underwear to bother you, plus when in the field or at war for several months at a time you must have either carried hundreds of spare pairs of underwear or sent your underwear back to the rear for someone else to clean your underwear every few days?

Get it right you non-military loser.

They are called bunks, racks or beds, not bunk racks. Please stop, you are just making yourself look even dumber.

Oh and by the way, you keep bringing up Alaska, what Marine Corps base are you referring to in Alaska ?
