The lack of quality, affordable housing contributes mightily to poor academic performance among city students and the utterly high degree of segregation of the county??????No way. If you want to live in the burbs you need to work hard, graduate high school and college and strive to be successful. Poverty has chained too many Rochester residents to a life of hardship. The housing link of this chain must be broken? No welfare and lazy people that want it all handed to them is the chain that must be broken!!!!!!. The D&C sucks. Who the hell was the writer of this article? A black person??? More liberal bull shit. Work hard and you can live in a million dollar house, Pittsford, Brighton, Mendon or Penfield have no $30,000 homes. There never will be. And of course, more living-wage jobs in the region?? If you drop out of high school ( 60% RCSD drop outs) what wage do you think you are going to get?????

I Know lets take more from those that work hard and give it to the poor lazy people that do not even graduate from high school so that they can have a nice house in the suburbs for nothing. Socialism does not work.
