This is being poorly done. For one, they're getting almost NO notice. Get a phone call today, and you're out of business tomorrow. Why didn't they give the dealers (and their employees) 3-6 months to find another product line or another job before shutting them down?
Secondly, Patrick Pontiac has a brand new building and does 50% of the Jeep sales in Rochester, but they're shutting them down too, leaving NO Jeep dealership in Henrietta, where EVERYONE (just about) goes car shopping. That doesn't make any sense. so it's not, apparently, based on sales volume, size, or geographic location either. Sounds like they're just hastily picking names out of a hat.
Also, if they are filing bankruptcy, why have we given them billions in bailout money. This whole US automaker debackle is a total mess. There seems to be no thought, or planning going into this.
