Wow!, can't believe how at home I felt when I went to Dees. All the chatskies on the wall reminded me of home. Especially the HUGE fork ans spoon. The food was amazing and it was all homemade with me being able to create exactly what I wanted. I will defiantly be back. Service was excellent. I guess they have a new owner and cook.

I've been going there for years and even though it's switched hands the place still has that good ole appeal. You don't find em like this anymore. The food and service were awesome. Dee will be there to greet you too.

I would like to start by saying that the hospitality is over wheeling. With Dee there to greet you and her cook Debbie the two are very nice. The chili is AMAZING!!!! All the food is so fresh and homemade. I will DEFINATLY tell more people about this place.

From these comments, it seems like you have to be somewhat uneducated to eat there.

Great place for breakfast and lunch any day you have a hankering for good, homemade goodness! The back entrance allows you to walk right through the kitchen....you dont get any more homey than that! Dee is an exceptional host with a sparkling personality!

. I'm not quite sure what this post is trying to state. "The man" seems to me hiding behind some fasod is uneducated. But what does education have to do with going in and enjoying good meal and nice peo. Can't stand jerks that have to always put their two sense in and have NOTHING to back it up with. This place is very nice with all kinds of decent people. So "the man" who probably has NO EDUCATION can stay gone. Thank you!

Have been to Dee's many times and have tried something different each time. The food is fantastic and the warm, welcoming atmosphere is a can't miss. Try it 26 lowell street.

I almost went there but was too scared to leave my car parked there. And I saw from reading the other posts here that all the customers appear to be complete losers. No thanks I'll pass.

too bad that you feel that way june, sounds personal to me. For someone who was actually too afraid to leave her car, how can you pass judgement on the customers? so please feel free to pass, you will be the one missing out on a quality, long standing business in the rochester area.

June I have been going there since the seventies and have had the opportunity to have shared meals with some of Dorchester FINEST of people. I have sat with Rochesters finest police officers, The Mayor, including Mayor Johnson, and Mayor Duffy. Over the years Rocheters city workers have eaten there, RG&E workers and Rochester City school Teachers. Along with these prominent people there have been GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD people come threw there. So according to your comments you can keep your Sheltered Butt GONE!!!!!!!!! OH AND THE FOOD AND PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE ARE EXTRAORDINARY AND GREAT!!!!!

I hear what you're saying about karma. I once knew this guy that was running around trying to "out" everyone on the internet who was using fake names even though it was obvious that the names were fake and karma had cursed him with atrocious grammar skills. True story.

I don't know what your talking about fake posts. Afar as health department they wouldn't be open if they had health issues. Actually just talked too Dee she said she has been harrassed by two people by the names of Adrienne Hooke and the first post girl Merrit Stuver who have been embarrassing her for a year now. I am a lawyer and have been looking into this embarrassment since June of this year. So anymore embarrassing posts, phone calls or anything it will be handled.

Glad to see that that whole 'reading' thing is starting to pay off for you there, Einstein. It will probably come in handy for all that 'lawyering' that you're talking about.

Hi! I googled the location of the diner and see it's in an "interesting" part of the city. Is the customer parking fenced in, with security? Just wondering. Thanks!
