I heard about this blog just today and I must say that for the most part it makes me sick to my stomach. I moved myself and my family to this community for many reasons...mostly though it was for the small town atmosphere and the quality of the people that reside here. Prior to moving here my wife and I actually stopped and spoke to many residents that were simply walking by just to get a feel for the environment and to insure that we made a quality decision. This blog really makes me wonder if that was a mistake. Although I have been here for only a few years I do understand the politics and the history of this community. I also understand that the people here are very strong in their political thoughts....but this....this goes far and beyond. Too far and too beyond! Have the people who are posting the negative garbage here...any of you...gone back the next day and taken a look at it and thought that maybe you shouldn't had wrote that. If you haven't you really need to....and then take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself why? This is cruel to talk about your neighbors and even worse their children in this manner. It seems to me that these people that are the victims of this rant only want to help this community. If you do not agree in the way that they would like to do that, well that is one thing, don't vote for them then....but to totally demoralize their character... This is just sick! I have a family here. I have children here. I thought this would be a great place to raise my children. Boy was I really wrong. Hopefully the people writing the trash are the minority because I really don't want your opinions and negativity effecting mine and my family's future livelyhood. Quite frankly after reading this packing my bags and moving on doesn't sound so bad. Question...when people are looking at this community to raise a family and they google the village is hatred what you want them to see? Because after reading this...that is exactly what they'll see. People vote whatever way you want, but in the mean follow the advice your grandmather gave you....if you have nothing good to say...then say nothing at all! To do anything else you are giving our community a bad name!
I totally agree.

I've read all 91 posts here and all I can say is wow.I've lived in this village since may of 2000 on Clark st. I'm running for office by my self i don't have the money to waste on signs and flyer's because I've been laid off since July I look for work every day at all the postings on all the sites.I do not see what makes a candidate better or worse because he is laid off or working 40 hrs.Since I moved here i have been very active in this village was the president of little league for a year and vice president for a year and coached for two years,I was a coach on the cagers basketball program and a member of the planning commission for two years. My son graduated from New Haven High School this past June and is looking forward to collage.I went to school here in 1980 for two months my step sisters the peal girls and my two brothers all graduated from New Haven.I ran around this town all through the 80s with my friends and when i got married and had enough money saved to buy my first house I moved here.I hope to get to work with who ever is elected to this council to move this village forward and put a stop to the devision that seems to be relevant here and before someone comes back on here and says he is a friend of Kim or Marlyn and Bret yes i am because they befriended me when i first moved here I think i have a lot of friends in this town and look forward to making more if I win a seat so be it if I don't then so be it I will still be here to try and make this village better.
WE need more residents like you in this Village. Like the old saying goes. Treat people the way you like to be treated and everything will fall into the right place.

There are a lot more residents like me in this village and we want to change the image that people have of New Haven. Seems the only press that we can get here is bad press or one sided that never gives everyone equal voice that all residents should have.I hope to try and change that so I will be at the polls all day 7am to 8pm help spread the good news and lets vote in the best people we can. thanks

I am wondering why Ron Trombly has been kissing up to everyone in New Haven - We didn't want them to join our community when Kim Cipriani wanted to disincorporate the village so why do we want them involved now?
John Gardner has done a great job of managing our money and Jodi Kethe runs our Township offices like a charm - they both work very hard at making this a good community to live in and be proud of being apart of.
Ron Trombly supports Jammie Kincaid WHY????? Ron Trombly has told voters in New Haven he will give money to the village WHY?????? Ron Trombly has told the people in the village that were for the disincorporation, that he is for merging both communities WHY???? Ron Trombly booked the Amvets hall, made the food, served it and greeted people at Jammie Kincaids meet and greet WHY?????
BEFORE YOU CAST YOUR VOTES TOMORROW LENoX TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ASK YOURSELF WHY HAS RON TROMBLY DONE THESE THINGS??????????
Let's keep this a well ran community people!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody just called me and told me to look at this comment - Well if this is true that Ron wants to merge the two communities, that is great! I will finally get my wish ;) Because I do not regret trying to disincorporate this village, I still think that in the end it would have been the best thing economically for us (even though we were lied to and told differently). What I want to know is: Do Lenox residents know about Ron's idea's regarding the two communities (if it is true)? Well one person is questioning this, but what about all the others. Also if he is going to give us money that is great too - Cuz we are broke ;)

I was at the Jammie Kincaid meet and greet and I was told that Ron reserved the hall and I saw that he (Ron) was serving food. Maybe he was just supporting the guy he thinks is the best for him to work with? I hope Jammie wants to merge too! If this is true this is great!

Maybe we can merge the fire department and get rid of Mike Jenks and save some money there! The DPW's can merge and we will save money there! We won't have village tax anymore and we can all save there!

If this is true I want everyone to vote for Ron Trombly tomorrow, so he can finish what I started!

This blog cracks me up, I love it!

The most important thing for New Haven residents tomorrow is to NOT vote for ROB PANNELL!

Oh Kimmy! What is it that makes you think that all that you want is what the community as a whole wants? Get over yourself already!
To everyone be leary of those who tell you who you should or should not vote for and vote for the individuals that you in your own personal experiences and reviewing support!

This is the problem with New Haven... BLAH...BLAH...BLAH... How does his daughter possibly dating an African American boy, have anything to do with him running for office? I guess we should of brought up the DUI's with our last president! Get the TRUE facts out there and let the people make their own minds up - Franklin, why dont you either shut up or put some type of proof up here, and STOP with the black/whie buyllshit - I think New Haven has had enough of that - If you dont like it move back to Franklin, or whatever rock you crawled out from, and for gods sake, use spell check or a dictionary PLEASE!!!! Its tough trying to read your stuff!!!!

If you are from Lombardo what are you doing posting here? Get back to work and get to work on all those crappy houses you failed to build correctly. Ask anyone and they will tell you to stay away from Lombardo. The service is horrible. The construction is horrible. and everyone hates you our houses that are only 4, 5, 7 yrs old look like they are 50 years old and neglected because of that crappy siding that is falling apart. And the trim that is cracking, peeling, rotting and growing mold! I am talking with others who have mold problems inside and out of their houses and you may be in trouble! Lombardo was the worst thing to ever happen to New Haven!
That wasn't Lombardo. No company would waste their time at an open forum. It makes no sense. That's a POSER.

Don't you have to have a job before you can quit it? Pannell has never worked he has his wife to support him and if elected, he'll try to make the President's job full time. Phil Hea doesn't work either and he has his wife support him. Yet he wants to sit on the board. Another one running for trustee is Greg Crachiolo. He doesn't work either because his wife supports him. Do you see a pattern here? Who are these dumb ass women who married these losers and where can I find one?
In a healthy marriage a husband and wife support each other. Especially after the husband in this case (Greg) had back surgery and couldn't continue doing his job because of it. Greg is now fully recovered and working full-time and brought his wife home to raise the ir 2 children and homeschool. Her master's degree in education will be put to much better use with our children.
So, in closing, I can't thank you enough new haven for not voting for me. We packed up, left you our house and got the heck out. Have fun beating each other up and isulting each other. I don't care you elect. The town is hopeless. Close down and merge with another city.
God Bless and Good Luck!

to Marilyn: wow he must feel you're a threat. this FREE loader gets how many checks a month..hmmm he's disabled (faker) now his wife gets a free government check (again faker) the state is raising his black grand-kid (welfare) and the gas station guy says his kid's hurt from some army bootcamp. that will be 4 government checks going to one house. what a wart on the dick of sociaty. jesus he taught his kids well. while most of us go to work or school and college and struggle this toad is willing to conieve his way through a piddilly little exsistence. although he's well into the poverty level still. look at his free rocks piled up in front of his house..pilfered from the subs open fields. even though he got the same book as all of us that says "NO ROCKS" he thinks he can do what he wants. fucking dick he shows us. he's a DRAIN ON AMERICA.
to marilyn...dont worry hun problems fix themselves..one small hiccup and he'll loose that house he so barely has...look at his one car, a 1000 dollar mini van! ha ha ha. or perhaps he'll smart off to someone that will take out his teeth in one hit and free philly will sit in a jail cell while his (the states) home will foreclose. look the association says he's over a year behind on dues eventually he'll be gone. poof ! like a fart

<quoted text>Wow! I do not know if all this is true. But I have a couple of issues about this man that must be made public if he is to run for public office. Mr. Hae is a member of the board of resident at Amherst. While at the board he used his influence to try to intimidate my family. He theatened us with charges through the association. He has a hot tub, around which he is supposed to have a privacy fence, but because he is part of the governing body in the neighborhood he has been able to circumvent the rules that should apply to everyone.
Since we started having problems with him we have been the victims of several acts of bandalism. My wife cought him hitting our trash cans with his car. When she called his attention he flipped her off and insulted my wife. When we reported this behavior to the police they brushed it off and a week later someone keyed our truck.
I find it difficult to believe that he is a good person for a trustee. I base my comments on facts. Before his hot tub died he would prop the lid open. With a complete disregard to the safety of my children, who at the time were toddlers. If he does not care for the safety of children how can we trust him with anything.

You got some of your facts right but not all. I too grew up in this town and chose to stay. Nothing has change since you were growing up. You just became "aware" of what was always there. You also chose to believe whatever rumor was floating around. Too bad for you. You lost out on a great community that has problems that need to be fixed. Instead of staying around to fix them, you chose to leave. That's fine, but it's still the same place and I enjoy living here.
