As for you...who cares. You are an overpaid waitress. Anyone can do your job.

"Would you like your soda in a can or in a glass?" "Oh, I am sorry, I can't make change for your 5 dollar bill". "Trash? Trash? Trash?". Yeah...real hard job you have.

To "Just An Observer". I have seen your posts on other forums out here. Liar...Liar. You are have to be a union member. At least I admit that my family is part of management and proud of it. Quit acting you are an innocent observer when ALL your comments are pro union.

Northwest has screwed their employees enough! I see no other option than dropping the ball on them! as usual the upper eschelon could only care about themselves while the "Workers" who actually make or break the airline take it in the shorts. enough is enough!

AMFA stood their ground, NWA management broke the union just like they are trying to break the other unions. before you know it your in experience pilot will make 10Hr as well as F/A's and not to mention your 5Hr ramp guy. ohh and your foreign mechanic who can't even read, write or speak english will have your family making burial plans. this is what all you CHEAP scumbags want! remember, "You get what you pay for" Fly cheap die cheap.

Unions have been asked to take a few cuts because union salaries (due to strikes and slowdowns), work rules (due to strikes and slowdowns), and benefits (due to strikes and slowdowns), had driven company costs out of sight compared with the competition. Senior management compensation is understandably a sore spot, but since senior management is paid and retained largely based on performance of the company stock, they have to do what they can to ensure a profit. So they try to bring costs down.

If you want to be paid like a senior manager, by all means get your education and go be a senior manager. Personally, I'll pass. I don't need the stress of dealing with labor, government, Boards of Directors, upset shareholders, news media, etc., literally 24 hours a day.

Of course you're correct but then it isn't our job to convince her. LOL

As outsourcing and wage spirals continue at NWA the anti union types will be forced to see reality. A public dislike for airline employees is nothing new. I have had my differences with airlines but I've always known that it isn't the gate agents or FAs who set the overbooking procedures for aircraft. That is decided by executives and accountants at an airline like "SCAB AIRWAYS" (aka NWA).

The real misfortune here is that the mechanics were not supported by other employee groups. NWA execs must be laughing themselves sick...THEY ARE VERY SICK PEOPLE.
