Domestic Violence effects more then just the involved persons. The key is identification and re-education. Programs that teach conflict resolution, communication , and use of community resources. Strengthening the family thru those that really know how to decrease rather then escalate conflict. Mentoring, networking, community outreach deigned to promote building and improving communication.

A man should be able to beat to beat his wife if he wants to. There was never a prolblem with layin down the law on bitches before 40 years ago. Thats 6000 years of being able to disipline your wife and kids to 40 years not being able to. Domestic violence is only a problem in western civilization because the rest of the world understands that its a mans world and theres no way around it. When my kids step out of line im not afraid to throw down a good beating. Thats what my dad used to do to me and i turned out great. So basically what im saying is whats the big deal? You do what you gotta do to keep your kids in line and your let your wife know whos boss.

I'm a member in the United States Army, and although I believe you should be able to dicipline your kids to an extent, women are an entirely different story. No joke my dad used to whip the shit out of me when I screwed up, but I deserved it. No good will come of beating your wife or children, except emotionally scarred lives.

I don't like peolple beating significant others or children. I do however believe that there are people out there who abuse the system. People who use the system to screw the fathers of their children out of their kids lives. I think our country makes PPO's to easy to obtain because you are a woman. My husband was accused of stalking his ex from the other side of the state. Which by the way was false. I think because you are a female and/or a mother does not entitle you to PPO's, make you a victim, or abusing the system. One day they will have cried wolf to many times.

Whoa Tim,
You need to go sit in on some DV sessions and learn some self control. Opening up a can of whoop ass will only result in your own DV charge. It pays to review your own thoughts as implied by your statements. After all there are two sides to a coin !

Normally reading something this would bother me - but considering it came from someone named "Timmy" -I'm not surprised. I would be pretty pissed off too if I was over the age of 2 and named "Timmy" LOL.

We have come a long way in 40 years. No one should be beaten, children, wives, the elderly, or otherwise. You really need to get out of the past and get some help. You are obviously a disturbed individual and your home life did not help. I would highly recommend some kind of counseling.

Great comment Roger. Perhaps you should try to spread this influence to "Timmy" (comment below).

How much you wanna bet Timmy is the submissive one in his relationship? I bet his wife's got him under perfect control, and he just likes to unload on the keyboard to give himself a confidence boost.
