Lawrence County to become home of new maximum security prison

In a surprise move, the small Lawrence County town of Sumner is poised to become home to the state's newest maximum-security prison.

This is horrible. PLEASE FIGHT IT WITH ALL THAT YOU HAVE!!!!!!!!!! Investigate those who have planned it. If any of the rest of us who had Lawrence County connections but don't live there can help stop it let us know!

Why would you ever be excited that this didn't happen. If your ex-con boy toy can't take the heat- MOVE. People there need jobs, your economy is way past tanking, and your community is dying. Pull your head out of the sand (or other similar places) and get a grip. Your local community shouldn't suffer because of ignorant decisions- yours, his, or any other community member that is suggesting that a viable option for jobs should be sent to another community.
Sometimes I think that they purposely oxygen deprived some of you when you were infants.
