Throwing the gauge starts at an early age for people from robeline :) my 5 year old has been doing it since he was 2.5 buttttt your right robeline doesn't produce many good folks these days....drugs are taking the youngsters down left and right. Proud to say that's where I'm from and I can only hope my kids have the type of childhood I did living there.mud riding, fishing, camping, shooting pool at Eddie Es barn(those were the days) and all the other good ole country fun that's slowly fading away.

yes i remember all the people fom robeline of them day, just thought about stopping and see how they all where up to these days, really ashamed of how these people can talk bad about the mitchell's and they all where my friends from school and grew-up with and i know riht now if i had to make a call they would be behide me all the waY JUST really up-setting to see people that don't have a life but talk about someone, no they don't know what robeline used to be like, alot of fun and all the ball games against martheville, provencal, really miss all these people, shorty and all the stations and stores and yes the red light in robeline, just think about all the sawmills that was there, just had to get this off my mind born and raised robeline, the sign came from the old folkes used to give it when quieting time came and they where headed to cold water to get that cold beer, that was the day

I wasn't talking bad about anyone from Robeline. I only know a few people from there. The one that I knew well and was really close to was a good guy back then, haven't seen him in a long time but I am sure he is still a good guy.

My grandparents were from Robeline. My grandmother was Lecy Idom and her mother was Ruby Idom. There home is on the main road into town. At one time there was a three story motel across the street. Seven homes down was Coopers Drug Store. Dottie and her husband worked the store wich was across the street from Bell Brothers. My grandfather lived outside town on a farm in which my siblings now own. A family by the name of Oxley lives in the farm house. My grandfather started a trust fund at Central Babtist Church outside of town. I would love to know if anyone knows any of my relatives. Please respond if you do

I remember the Ol Robeline Gauge well, history has it that my grand-pa Willis Mitchell started this back in the 40's , and as far as the coment that Robeline has gone to the dogs , you are mistaken my friend, I still have many friends left who are damn good people, as Rosemary Ammons stated, we Robeline Folks always had each others back, it was what made us ROBELINE. though I left Robeline in 1979 to serve my country in the US Army, and when I did my 4 years active duty, I continued my service in the reserves and served in the war in Afghanistan and Iraq and retired in 2007 I think thats pretty good for an old Robeline Hand. I now live in southeast Asia(SingaporeI think I have did pretty good for myself. but one thing is for sure, I never forgot where the hell I come from and the friends I left behind in Robeline who I will always cherish with my Heart, so if you bastards are gonna talk about mitchells, you need to call 1-800 and do a credit check on Aubrey Mitchell and Robeline, La.
