The Bureau of Labor Statistics released jobs numbers for January Friday showing that nonfarm payroll employment increased by 157,000 and the unemployment rate rose to 7.9 percent.
Lost in these headline numbers was another rise in the number of people not in the labor force.
This number now stands at a staggering 89 million, up from 80.5 million when President Obama took office.
This means that there are currently 8.5 million more Americans not in the labor force than just four years ago.
Forget all the other numbers.
This continued explosion of people not in the labor force should be tremendously concerning as it represents an obstacle for the government to ever balance the budget without drastically raising taxes on those still working.

Here's a question for you. How many Americans left the labor force in Bush's last term?

OK, lazy little child who wants others to do his homework for him.

The data is available if you dig deep enough into the archives of the BLS. However, I am not going to take the time to do that for you. I will give you an overview of the "Labor Force Participation Rate" as found at:

http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS11300000

NOTE: This is the percentage of those over 16 that are in the labor force. As the population grows, and it has grown by 21 million people over the past 10 years ( http://www.forecast-chart.com/forecast-popula... ), the decline in Labor Force Participation is more dramatic than what the actual percentages show.

Do you understand that last factiod?

Here is the data:

Jan 2001 N/A Bush
Jan 2002 N/A Bush
Jan 2003 66.4% Bush
Jan 2004 66.1% Bush
Jan 2005 65.8% Bush
Jan 2006 66.0% Bush
Jan 2007 66.4% Bush
Jan 2008 66.2% Bush
Jan 2009 65.7% Obama
Jan 2010 64.8% Obama
Jan 2011 64.2% Obama
Jan 2012 63.7% Obama
Jan 2013 63.6% Obama

Now, given the population in 2003 and again in Jan 2009 when Bush left office, you can calculate that there was a growth of approximately 9 million jobs under Bush in those 6 years that the data is listed.

Contrast that to Obama's loss of 8.9 million jobs in his first 4 years.

Bush, as bad as he was, is worth almost 18 MILLION MORE JOBS to the American public than Obama is.

Obama sucks.

How is that even relevant?? GW is gone, no longer a player, hardly even leaves Texas. This is about 8.5 million Americans who have left the labor force, period, under the Obama Administration. This is one of many of the hi-lites of the failures in this President's legacy book!

King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, he that was about to betray him, said:'Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?' Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and having the purse, carried the things that were put therein (John 12:4-6).

Then went one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, to the chief priests, and said to them: What will you give me, and I will deliver him unto you?(Matthew 26:14-5)

Pearl Jam

Well, I don't mind stealin' bread
From the mouths of decadence -
But I can't feed on the powerless
When my cup's already over-filled....

Yeah...

But it's on the table, the fire's cookin';
And the farmin' babies of the slaves are workin'.
Blood is on the table and the mouths are chokin'...
But I'm goin' hungry.

I don't mind stealing bread
From the mouths of decadence;
But I can't feed on the powerless
When my cup's already over-filled....mmmhmm....

Someone calculated that puts the real unemployment number at 41%. I'm not sure if the highest it ever reached during the Great Depression was 25%. Staggering.
