Gerald Vanderhoff - exellant letter. Years ago people from different races were banned from marrying. Thanks to "activist" judges, that was stopped. Now we can't even imagine such a rediculous law existed. Years ago men were allowed to rape their wives - same thing. Years from now, long after gays have been marrying and all was well, we will look back on these fools and wonder what they could have been thinking. "activist judges" have always been the conscience of our nation. The Religious Right has always hated them.

I say it's SICK!
The gays have "chasers" looking to get AIDS and "gifters" looking to spread AIDS. Yes, it's extremely sick. And now NAMBLA has a page on Facebook with pictures of kids and advice on how to lure them into sex. It's sick beyond words.

I'm just glad that 'Activist Judges' won't be winning any of the open judicial elections because people have woken up!

It didn't take long for the hate filled pro-gay side to start with wishing death on those who disagree with them. Typical liberal!

Word! Why didn't the KKK say "let the people decide" then? Civil rights issues should exactly NOT be put to a popular vote because it's too easy for conservative demagogues to play on people's fears and sway opinion against them!

Yes - somehow if those same acts are done between a man and a woman, its totally fine. Odd.

Wearing clothes made from two different kinds of material - sin. Thats from the same passage as the one refering to gays. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. What a bunch of whack jobs are on this posting today.

You know, all this redneck bible thumping mideval thinking on todays posting would bother me, except I know you all are a dying breed. Dont Ask Dont Tell is going to be repealed soon, and with the blessing of most Americans. Gay marriage is already allowed in 3 states - and I predict in a decade it will be nation wide.
Go ahead, howl your rage in your last breaths, but whats right always wins in the end, and when that day comes, gay men and women everywhere will be married. And as with inter-racial marriages, and inter-faith marriages, everything will be great.:) I can't wait!!
The AIDS virus is mutating. The drugs won't keep up. Y'all will be dead, so I wouldn't be getting too happy if I were you.

----gzainger, are you suggesting that all who oppose your bigoted views will be taking their last breaths? This is a very strange and apocalyptic comment pointing towards the 'end times' when gays can marry. I would probably agree, because the lack of anything absolute will make it the 'end times.'

Oh Really- no, I just mean I'm sure you'll be howling with rage until you finally do die. And with the younger generation even more accepting of gays, the rediculous views voiced on this posting today are going to go the way of those other past winners: "Women can't vote because they're just not smart enough", or, "integration will KILL the schools", or how about "woman shouldn't make what a man makes because he's got a family to support". Yeah, real winners. And all the anti-gey rhetoric is in the same boat. So spew away, gentleman, spew away. Time is on my side!:)

except, that kids and straights are dying of AIDS too. And depending on how it mutates, you could be on that list too! Give yourself a big Homer Simpson DUH!

The younger generation is as accepting of the gays as you are of people who disagree with you. And time is on your side? Are you old enough to be in here?

I think I've been pretty darn curtious on this posting, compared to those who want AIDS to kill us, who want to stop us from getting married and call us sick. And you think I'm not accepting??? Holy cow, man - what else should I let you do - beat me to a pulp? All I did was tell it like I see it. If you think saying that I think we will be able to get married, and that all the trends, and I mean ALL the trends, are going in our favor is somehow mean compared to what is on this posting today, well, thats just daft.

True, it's an eccentric forum today! Part of the great American debate. Yet, you suggest that those who disagree will die, are a dying breed, and are taking their last breaths. So, MAN, you are in essence, proving that liberals are only open to views that are their own.

I don't get your point. When every poll shows the younger generation (which sadly I am very much past) as being very accepting of gays, I don't think its inappropriate to refer to anti-gay views as being part of a dying breed. Its a common phrase - no Appocolypse intended.

Am I open to homophobic rants saying they hope we all die of Aids - hmmmmmm - NOPE!

If gays would seek legal unions, giving them all the rights as married couples, a lot of people would be supportive. Marriage is currently specific to opposite sex partnerships and most would like to keep it that way. It seems to me that gays sometimes want to be able to use the "marriage" word just so they can stick in your face. Gzaiger, wouldn't you be satisified with a civil union granting legal rights to partners, or do you demand it's called marriage?

They like to call anyone who doesn't agree with them a bigot. Anyone who doesn't agree with all this liberal gay BS is either a bigot or a homophobe.
