It's being called "The cop heard 'round the world"... This Canton Concealed Carry arrest is a perfect example of why the law on "mandatory notification" needs to be changed quickly.

This video is real life evidence of a re-occurring problem in Ohio law with gun owners: The poorly defined "promptly inform" law leaves a gaping opportunity for police officers to cite a gun owner with a misdemeanor when they can't find anything else to charge that person with, or when they want to make an example of that person for carrying a firearm. In this particular case the officers are so focused on their own demands that they completely miss multiple opportunities to be "promptly informed" by the licensee. At least once when an officer is climbing around his car, and only minutes later when finally approached by an officer at his door the man tries to say "I have a carry..." but is interrupted.

With his license to drive a car and carry a handgun in each hand the man's well intentions are obvious. He never breaks his mild mannered temper even while being threatened with execution while hand cuffed. This is not a man who was trying to hide the fact that he was armed from anyone.

Watch our audio enhanced original version right here (and embed/link to it anywhere you think would be appropriate). OFCC has hidden the license plate, muted audio revealing that plate, and some other irrelevant personal identifying information.

WARNING: Video contains raw audio. Only license data, personal identifying audio, and eight minutes trying to identify who the male passenger was were edited out. Video contains a substantial amount of vulgarity. Copyright: This video is annotated, transcribed, edited to remove portions irrelevant to the case at hand, and audio enhanced by Ohioans For Concealed Carry.

This is a good example of a bad COP.

You need to remember they are out there in FULL FORCE. Many COPs join the "profession" to make fools of themselves on their own dash cam. Of course they are then forced to change "professions".

A honest COP once said "if a COP tells you they NEVER just gave a drunk a ride home" they are lying.

It is best to remember the kids you beat up or made fun of in highschool want revenge now; thus they have joined the government enforcers.

this same thing happened in Shreveport, LA in many ways.
.
http://www.ksla.com/global/story.asp...
.
http://www.lewrockwell.com/grigg/grigg-w99.1.... Any time a motorist is stopped by a police officer, insists Shreveport, Louisiana Mayor Cedric Glover, "Your rights ... have been suspended." This includes not only the freedom of movement, but also, in the event the officer inquires as to whether the driver is carrying a weapon, "Your right to be able to hold on to your weapon and say whether [you] have a weapon or not" — as well as the right to retain possession of that weapon, should the officer decide to confiscate it from you.
Glover, a member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, clearly believes that any firearms in civilian hands should be considered illicit. This is, in both a cultural and constitutional sense, entirely un-American.
.
.
I wonder if the mayor in Ohio is also a member of 'Mayors Against Illegal Guns'? and like Glover, considers all firearms in the hands of anyone not in LE to be illegal. even those legally owned, stored, etc....

In most places fire chiefs have the same authority that a government enforcer chief has, and the cops can't stand that. Just part of their liberal gang mindset

--any how here is what happened to that commie.

Controversial Police Chief Lands New Job

Hughes Arkansas needed a top cop. They apparently found it in Willie Frazier.

We are told the new Police Chief has been on the job about a week, hired by Mayor Larry Owens.

“I am just working,” Chief Fraizer told us when we met him at the Police Station.

We asked if we could talk with him, but he told us no cameras and no microphones. We wanted to talk to Chief Frazier about his new appointment.

“Ah you got a camera on. See how you do. Turn the camera that way. Turn the camera that way,” he told us.

He was adamant . There would be no questions about his past job in Jericho, Arkansas. It was a job that had him in the news. Citizens were furious over the speeding tickets written by his officers.

One heated court hearing turned into a fight between officers and the then Fire Chief. An officer was then accused of shooting the Fire Chief in the court house.

There were also claims of police corruption that eventually led to an investigation. Chief Frazier won’t comment on the outcome, only saying his officers were found to have done nothing wrong.

“It was a lot of lying over. A lot of people lying. The who thing was a bunch of mess, a bunch of lies,” he told us.

Mayor Owens was not available to talk with us about his decision to hire Frazier, but City Council Members say its solely up to the Mayor.

“That is strictly up to the Mayor. We have nothing to do with that. We are in a system where the Mayor hires the chief and whoever he hires we pretty much go along with that,” says City Council Member Jesse White.

Chief Frazier says he doesn’t mind sitting down to talk about his new job, once it’s cleared by Mayor Owens. The Mayor has not returned our calls.

The new chief is expected to be announced at the Hughes City Council meeting Monday night

“”The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.”~ Marcus Aurelius~

Funny, you use a simple example to prove a "pattern" ??? Goethe wrote DIRECTLY about you dumbass.
