The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reported late Sunday it was investigating “apparent domestic violence” deaths of two people in the Rainbow Lakes area near Dunnellon.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, Latalia Robinson, 32, was found dead along with her estranged husband, identified as Dean Hamilton, 33. The release identified Robinson as a worker at West Port High School and Hamilton an employee at Cheney Brothers. Robinson’s Facebook page lists her as a biology instructor at West Port.

According to the release, a family friend became concerned when he failed to hear from them, and he checked on the house.

Both Robinson and Hamilton were found dead inside the house from an “apparent gunshot wound.”

The Special Investigative Bureau was continuing its investigation into the deaths late Sunday.
