Thank God they took a picture of the southwest quadrant! Those of you in the other three quadrants need to start cleaning up your act!

I wonder where the picture was taken?
Oh, MDW, WE are in the NW quad. Our area is pretty well clean from all the leaves.

All I'm saying is that the classiest part of town is in the SW part of town. NW aint to bad, but that American flag house and the Keystone apts. bring it dwon a notch or two. As for the NE side, there is no hope.

You dont have to tell me that the flag house is a dump, the apts are a long way away from us though, but there are a lot of people in this part that keep it pretty tidy. I can't stand the ones who dont!

It is good they did not use the super crappy flag house. I am sad for anyone who has to live near it.

I live near it..talk about an idiot that brings the whole block down. How do I contact the mayor personally? He said at the meeting that he answers all calls, it's time to make this guy clean up his act.

From what I understand and have been told throught the years is that the Village has been trying to do something with that house for a long time. My belief is that it's in the hands of the Court system and he keeps getting a continuance. As bad as it looks and brings down the block, I'm told he does just enough to keep "above" the law on it. One thing for you though is to watch out for "critters" coming from there. Such as Possums, Raccoons, and a few others. The man in back of you has baited traps out to try and catch Possums so, watch your Dog if she should get ahold of an animal.

Well there is always an open session at the beginning of the board meetings. And Terry will be glad to hear what anyone wants to bring up.

Classy? Really? Putting down the rest of your town is considered classy? In who's book?

Okay, overall a positive article, but someone needs to give the "journalist" a clue. The caption for the picture says we have "a mix of houses, with some dating back to the 1900's." Wow, what a shock! Could someone let her know that the 1900's only ended 10 years ago? Then she goes on to describe Hog Wild as "a burger and hot dog joint". Again, a little research on her part would have been nice.

I have tried to run all over Midlo and I don't think any of it is all bad. Do you see burnt out houses boarded up? I don't. I will admit I won't run by the apartments east of Pulaski after dark but who would? As for someone slamming the NE quadrant some of the nicest, oldest, most historical houses are there. I will admit I have not seen all of Midlo but I can only go about 2 miles from the house before turning around.

I was told he did that because the Village told him years ago to "clean" the property up or else face a fine. He painted it that way just to make a point so to speak. Sad thing is, he works for the same place as you but in a different location. Believe that??

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Capricorn

With dark Pluto under pressure in your sign, this rather grave mood has been colored by the current state of a relationship. It isn't going as well as you would like, probably because you're feeling distanced. It's an inward-looking phase, full of obstructions, but best not to worry about things that might never happen, nor to stew about problems that are little more than ancient history. It's the festive season, so raise the cup of kindness and help those less fortunate than yourself.
