Colloquial refers to types of speech not on a formal level.

So let's get informal and talk about anything you want. Sit down, relax and grab a drink.

Who knows where this could take us...

I'm all about being informal. I love to laugh and only cry when moved to do so. As far as the drink, I'm with ya coll.

Can't believe it's Tuesday and I have nothing to show for it. It's raining like Noah should build an ark. It's not even 8:00 p.m. and it's dark. I'm RANTING!!!!

Hey kc. I couldn't sit back and not do anything on that other thread.

I've decided I'm going to state the facts, HH/TD has become entirely too comfortable with us not saying anything.

If it was my 'home' and someone came in and told me they were taking over, would I just sit back and let it happen? NO.

You have a good night.

I read your rant! Very Good!! You sounded like Sherlock Holmes. How do you do that? You stated your case, gave evidence, stated your summery, then concluded with a butt kick. I'm very proud of you. My daughter is right, mean people really do suck. I have never been around mean people like that before. I really do live in a very sheltered world. I guess I should be greatful, I always tend to meet up with people who I get along with. Thanks for being one of those people!!!

I am lucky that you are one of those people also!

It was quiet in the thread tonight.

Can you believe I just got home a few minutes ago? Store closed at 10 and we got out at 11:45! Ass kicker of a day. Plan was $71,000.00 and we did $135,000.00. Or something like that.

As for my rant, I have to confess that I've been thinking of doing that for a couple of days, ever since she tripped herself with those 2 posts I mentioned. But I didn't want to do it until the right time, and I figured that was as good a time as any.

Well, I'll see you in a few days. Take Care!!!

When you work Retail or Retail type Business, you know that Mean people do suck. That's all I put up with. Why?? Why have people gotten so nasty? Coll, can I ask where you work or maybe just a hint? You actually get to a point, at least I do that on your day off or vacation, you want nothing to do with people.

Why have people gotten so nasty? We have degenerated into "it's all about me " world. It's what I want, when I want it etc. We don't want to meet people on an eye to eye level. It's so much better if we don't even know their names, so we hide behind "handles" (like I'm doing now) to make comments out into the cosmos. Now I'm ranting!!(and not well!)

kc and I work together at a major retailers (like Sears of JC Penney, but not either of those) part time.

It's our 5th job...we are mothers, wives (well, I have a b/f but feel like a wife) housekeeper and all that entails and another job out of the home. Oh, I forgot, kc has 6 jobs...she is also a sex goddess!!! LOL!

Most shoppers are nice, but it's those that are nasty that leave an impression on you. They want to be catered to, but we do not work at a upscale boutique where we call our shoppers by their names and know their underwear size.

I actually love working with kc...we keep each other sane and keep each other laughing.

The rant we were actually talking about on this thread happened on a thread in Offbeat. Offbeat is another world!

What do you do for a living?

It's ok to rant to friends kc. Sometimes you need to let off steam, and that is a very healthy thing to do. You can't hold it in all the time.

And as for hiding behind handles, if the Tin Man goes back up, I plan on meeting other people from Topix there. Maybe I'll meet Wondering Why!

Like you, I work Retail but, not a Sears, Penney etc. You get the point:):) I have a couple of jobs myself. Work, Dad, house. You get the point but my Wife helps out extremely because of breathing problems that have popped up with me the past couple of years. My Wife is a Gem. No one could top her. I agree about the one bad compared to the 9 nasty. That's what I face on a daily basis. My wife has even commented to me that my sarcasm has gotten worse the past few years and I was never like that and she has been with me for 25 years. I invited her to let me take her with me one weekend especially and she could see what I put up with. She declined:) When is the Tin Man going back up? if it's a Saturday, odds are I'm at work.
