Come people...you can waste money on other issues...you got money for the project...use it...and why don't you open the area back up...I remember going there and always having a great time...now you can't even get close...

Some might consider this batch of Twp. Supervisors a waste of money.Let's start by getting some new people in there.

Use the money from the landfill.
Oh, wait, that is going to the park up the hill for the next 30 years.

OK, what am I missing or overlooking.

They got a grant for $245K and a quote for $56K.

Is the quote to do some kind of work, engineering or what?

Ya got the grant, USE IT NOW before the condition of the bridge only worsens!!!

when are these township supervisors ever going to get it right? you got the grant for this purpose now you don't want to use it even the price is lower. what are you planning on using this money for? we have the right to know. a grant is a grant and you are to use it that way. you also have the right to know that you all need replaced!!!

Ditto to all the previous posts. This group is so tight because they are short sighted. Once again they want to tighten the purse strings at the expense of the long term. Get your minds on something other than the immediate money. It is correct that you can be replaced, if the locals have enough guts to vote you out. Stop wasting my money on the present and start spending it on the future!

Another bid or two is realistic and then review --- but seriously, the grant was obtained for this. It is beautiful from either side of Weaver Rd. The bridge is our history, and we owe it to our future generations to keep it in a state of repair that can be handled --- it is like a house. Take care of it!

They got a federal grant to way more than cover the cost of restoration and yet refuse to use the money to do it? Where will our tax dollars go?

The 56,000 quote is only for engineering at the bridge. The grant is to go towards repair or restoration, but the estimates from the engineer to restore the bridge run in gthe 900,000 to 1 million range. th at is why they are looking for other estimates

again this is a case of a Public Opinion story that does not give you all the facts of the story, perhaps if their reporters woul stay for a whole meeting and get the story right we could actually read facts instead of half-truths in their stories

concerned, you are exaggerating. The figure is $500,000 to $800,000. Are you a supervisor?

If you were at the meeting when the Lehman group was there the figures they put out at that time were 900k to 1million, they have just recently reduced the figures
