No matter where you buy a car from dealerships are out to do what they can to make a sale . But here is the thing consumers try to screw the dealer ships and the dealer ships try to screw the consumer its what you know and how u do it . Plus if you have f-up credit you dont really have any room to negoiciate . Tote the note places know they have a advantage over alot of people because they have messed up credit and really no down payment . Yes the interest rate is higher but the key is your credit and down payment and the car your wanting . I bout a car from them in last october Its a wonderful car plus I had a friend that bought a car from the 2 weeks after I did and he's happy . I know some tote the note places that sell junk yard ready cars that have over 200,000 miles on them 2 weeks later the motor blows and they just put them in another high milage car .Remember look at ur situation before you buy a car and when you go to buy if they dont tell you everything dont sell the dotted line .do your reseach on the car ur wanting or looking at before you buy it .Its a screw screw world to see who can get screwed 1st if you feel like ur going to get screwed dont do it . If you work at a place that is doing it quit and go else where .

Overpriced vehicles what the dealerships and tote the note places look at at is demand of a car if there is a high demand for a car it will be higher priced because they know they can get it. Plus if they have to track it down and have it brought to the dealership your paying for it . If you have a old trade in that has alot of miles and is a piece of crap there taking aloss because they cant resale it. I have a 07 chevy cobalt from clay cooley of ft worth it was the only cobalt on the lot I seen it when it came in on the truck the next day I bought it . They cant get enough of them because of the demand of them plus I did some checking im paying what its worth . Im tired of hearing about people that claim there getting screwed when they know how there situation is .Tell them what u want as far as ur payments go and if you cant agree on it go else where but remember the banks have a final say so in what can be done to .

I find a lot of truth to what some of you are saying. I can't speak to Clay Cooley directly. I was however thinking about looking into working for the company. They presently are running ads promoting work at all locations. Buyer beware are very true words. Ripping people off, in particular the elderly, is wrong on many levels, an unfortunate fact of life. However, does not have to be accepted and not reported. There are many ways to fix things. Look into them. One comment, a lot of negative on this overall posting, however many by the same people. That's something to think about. Thanks for the information, probably won't work for them

I'm not affiliated with Clay Cooley, their employees, sales associates, Cash or anybody. I'm just an unsuspecting customer so I don't want all the drama, I'm just giving my two cents on how they (Clay Cooley) dealt with me.

My husband and I went to look for a newer vehicle. We don't NEED one, we were just looking to see if we found one that we wanted to trade for. The manager saw us eyeing a Nissan maxima and sent a salesman to work with us. He wasn't professional at all. He was very quick to push us to give our info so he can start a deal and wouldn't let us leave. We told him it was our first stop and we just wanted to look at other vehicles and other places. He was relentless and kept pushing for us to get our vehicle appraised and start a deal on the car we liked. I asked how much the car was an he said he couldn't tell me exactly but gave us a ball park figure. He pushed forward and started filling out paperwork to submit to the finance manager and we kept asking for details about the deal and were never given answers. Finally the finance manager came out and told us how much the car was worth. We hung around for 4 hours and finally told the guy to call us if we are approved and we'll come back. He kept trying to get us to stay but I insisted. He called today and asked us to come in. We asked for details on the deal and he didn't give us anything, just bumped our appointment to 5:30. I called him again at 5:15 and asked for details as far as where we stand and he was rude and kept saying, "Man just come in. I can't work a car deal over the phone." I said "No, I'm not going to drive all the way over there to sit for hours on end just to be told no. Tell me if I've been approved for the car I want or not." He finally said no bc of my trade and said he wanted to get me in a new car bc of the rebates. I rephrased what he said and he got sarcastic and said, "Now we're getting somewhere!" Yes because you're actually talking to me and giving me answers! I told him I didn't want another vehicle and if I couldn't get the car I wanted with payments within my price range then I don't want to make a deal. He said, "Man yeah" and hung up the phone. Really?! How is he going to get an attitude with me when he's the one who didn't listen to my requests, was dishonest and shady and secretive from the beginning, and was unprofessional and disrespectful from the start? I am so glad I didn't make a deal with them. They are shady. Stay away from Clay Cooley unless you want to get taken advantage of.

Instead of going through all that should have said . If your not going to tell us what were wanting to hear then leave and Dont respond back . Every one will have good and bad experiences with dealerships. If you have a bad experience at that dealership leave and go elsewhere .All salesman have there own way of doing things plus there supervisors also want them to do things a ceartain way to . When I went to CC I told the sales person right from the get go I dont want to hear any stories about ur family or ur finacil stuff. I know what I want I know what I want my payments at that I can afford . Look at my trade in and tell what I can get for it.If I dont like what I hear Im gone. You have to show them from the start you dont have time for the BS . Car salesman can be pushy 1st of all they work on a commision 2nd of all its competion between them to see who can sell more cars who ever wins get bonuses and you name it.

I got a car from clay Cooley and I should've left it there. They don't explain to you the whole amount you are paying for the car, just the monthly payment. They didn't tell me they shut your car off either. I was just told I have GPS on my car...wow!! Last month I was a day late and this crazy ringing was coming from the car, when I called to make my payment, they lady explain it.. Pooh now I'm told this. I don't feel comfortable with someone having that much control over what I'm paying for. Plus I have had malfunctions on the car, doors, locks, and the oil wasn't changed when I got it. Thinking of letting someone else take this headache.. I understand protecting your investment but don't understand the short grace period they give people, shit happens... No telling how many people have had the car I drive.

Wow sounds so familiar. I actually bought a car and regret it. Only they worked the deal so fast, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. Didn't tell me the overall price until they drew up the paperwork. All the major details were left out. I actually had to sit back and think a minute. Truth is most car dealerships are this way. My friend got a car from them and her power steering was shot!!! She couldn't even drive it.. They dont give you all the information because you will leave if they tell you.

Clay Cooley is a real bad dealership. I was trying to buy a 2011 Dodge Charger and they said the payments were going to be almost $500 a month. Instead, they wanted to sell me a brand new Suzuki for real low payments. Since, those cars are bad people don't eventually buy them, the sellers are trying to make profit from it. Well they sold me a Chrysler Sobrin 2008 for low payments. But,(here's the but part)they did not give it to me clean. Two days later my wheel started to vibrate and the oil change light came on. so, we made an appointment. Saying they can't fix it, chryslar dealer has to do it. They added on tinted windows and the salesperson(Mayra) said she would pick it up after they would fix it and would take it to get ti washed. When they called me to pick it up it was not washed.Mayra said,"Oh well we can still do it if you want to wait", im like really you want me to waste more time? if you knew they couldn't washed it then why did you say you were going to take it?? I was pissed! We made another appointment for the engine light and they said they were going to reset it. We had 57,some miles and when we received it the miles were 54,some. It is fraud! They lie and steal and Mayra is a bad sales person! She told my mom that she has nothing to do she just sold the car and thats it. I recommend Kenny for helping us and Oliver. Mayra just wanted commission and knew we needed a car. Yea we did but not a junk car.

Beware of this dealership. Their upfront service is great when purchasing the car but the service after is horrible. I purchased a 2008 truck and I sold it a year later. I filled out the required paperwork to get a refund for the canceled extended warranty. Every time I call I get a voicemail and no returned call. It took 3 weeks to even get someone to get the request processed and only because my husband call and demanded to talk to a manager. Now I have been told the check is in the mail...I live in Fort Worth and the dealship is in Arlington and still no check 1 week later. This is ridiculous! I will definitely tell EVERYONE I know to avoid this dealship.
