Babe's is all about classic fried chicken
Babe's Chicken Dinner House has come to Granbury. And this Babe's almost opened quietly.
The region's favorite fried chicken restaurant -- ranked among the South's best by Southern Living magazine -- is open at 114 W. Pearl St., a block west of the courthouse.
So far, the line isn't always out the front door. At lunch one recent day, the restaurant was half-full, almost quiet.
That is, until the wait staff started singing and dancing to the Hokey Pokey.
(Memo to owner Paul Vinyard: Your new lunch staff needs a few Hokey Pokey lessons.) Read more
