Deceptive Marketing at Bright House

Bright House sold me an Internet plan for around $22.00 a month for a year, when I got my bill the service was listed at $39.00. When I called to report the error in the bill I was told the "special" rate wasn't available anymore. I explained that was the rate that I was sold and gave them the employee's name and ID#. Sorry, too bad was their response.
I was clearly deceived by Bright House. Has anyone else had a similar experience? How can they get away with marketing a plan at one rate then billing it a higher rate? The is deceptive marketing and highly unethical!

I just had a similar experience today. Found out from Bright House, after pressing for an answer, that my bundle includes a planned price increase each year of of $10/month!! This occurs after the period that they guarantee the rate (usually 12 or 24 months). So now the $126/mo bundle will eventually cost $187 - their "retail price"!! When I asked where this is documented or explained to a customer, they admitted to me it is not documented and sorry I was not told. I understand they may adjust prices occasionally (with notice) due to subscription costs and market conditions, but was certainly not aware of a pre-planned yearly increase!
Absolutely deceptive marketing. Why hasn't the state and/or FTC put a stop to this and forced BH to provide a disclosure of the real pricing up front?
What a way to thank loyal customers (sarcasm)- keep increasing the price each year, while short term customers who switch providers are rewarded with lower prices. Guess I will become a switcher or at least a former BH customer after more than 20 years.

Unfortunately that is corporate America. The plan is to constantly increase your fee for the same service. It is really a shame because it prices some households out of service.
I would like to see more basic services available for low income families and those who are on fixed incomes. It would be nice if Bright House would offer affordable basic Internet service for those households. So many students from low income families do not have Internet service and these kids are at a disadvantage when doing their home work and research projects for school.

The guy once threatened to shut our internet off for a 60.00 payment that was NOT DUE. I don't have all the paperwork in front of me but that was their second chance. My X has caught them double-billing. They won't get another chance at my house despite the fact I know they have some decent employees. I also think their ad slogan is very creepy and don't think their employees should be trusted around children as they have suggested would be a safe thing to do. Have you seen some of those whack jobs?? They always keep the cute ones at the stores to give a good impression. CORPORATIONS !!!!!!!!!!
