Subject: National Nut House analogy

“National Nut House analogy”

You can and should compromise and care and fairly share your communal property out there everywhere; even though, because of your hard work, education and good behavior, you need no government savior for failures. You and your spouse should support your national halfway house by letting anyone who boohoos or loses move in with you! Yes, admit and accommodate those immigrants, village children, in-laws, outlaws and siblings, the old, the sick, the lame, the lazy and the crazy. This is not hard. Give them all check books and credit cards. It is a (shameful?) disgrace for you not to fairly share your assets, income and living space; and if you do not give them easy good-paying jobs, they must and will steal and rob.
When and while dealing with their need to do good deeds (with your money and their feelings), you can try and compromise and tell them that they have to stick to some sane and sensible (insensitive) spending limits with debt ceilings. Oh, they will no longer be envious with hate, if you leave them an inheritance with your estate. No doubt, they will understand your plans and be your fans! Of course, half of your dependents will be drunks, punks, dropouts, drug addicts, baby daddies, baby mamas, unwed mothers and others who always seem to be in need. They are not pests. They are your guests.
Do not be a grouch just because your village children/college kids occupy your spare rooms and couch, while you continue to support them at home and pay off “their” loans. Not being the smartest most employable liberal artists, they may stay (and you may pay) until they get suitable enjoyable employment. Do not ask or expect them to do housework, spouse work, yard work or hard work.
It is insensitive and judgmental to say that they made their own beds and that you have to ration your compassion. Well, you are just going to have to work harder and smarter to encourage and enable them to legally rob. Add some dumb (deranged John Wayne Brain) defense & security nuts, with their imperialist intentions and military missions to continue borrowing to buy more guns and ammunition; they act patriotic and tough and say that you can never buy them enough stuff.
And thus, you may want to cuss and fuss in disgust without trust; but you must adapt and adjust to compete with the best of these pests in their ongoing never-ending quests and compassion and patriotism contests. Most of them will still probably be more hateful than grateful. Oh, if you want to whine, you ought to buy Leon Harrison’s “Genuine $19.99 Makeshift Shrine”. Yes, you and your spouse may think and feel that you reside inside and are supporting a national nut house.
