He said He did not come to do away with the (Levitical) Law. That meant that so far as He was concerned the practice of homosexuality was still a sin. Doesn't get any clearer than that.

Makes perfect sense to me. By saying homophobes have latent gay tendencies is saying that all the gay bashing is coming from gay people themselves. Kinda lets us straight people off the hook.
