Actually I think we received MORE rain than Galvestion did...go figure! How come the news media isn't up HERE reporting live?? LOL

I have friends in areas where the flood is getting very close to their homes and am wondering why the city of chicago, villages and the media did not ask people to reduce their consumption of water during this rainy days to make room for the sewer system to take MORE of the rain water. That should help. Why I am not hearing that on TV and News???

We just had the remains of Hurricane Lowell and Ike rolling through. Now that, is a lot of rain.

Had to endure flooding one time as a child. Never again, was what I took away from that. Extremely costly in value and in memories that can never be replaced. I have total compassion for all those going through this. The very best of luck to all of you.

before yesterday's rains we had 3.7 inches in Crete, got a little over 6 inches from yesterday afternoon to this morning!!
