Whoever thinks they are okay if they stay outside the school building or even off school property will be in for a rude awakening. Per an incident at Morton West High School in May 2000, new laws have been passed for the City of Berwyn, officially making the entire City of Berwyn a safe school/No Trespassing zone. And the new laws are as follows;

(1) There is now a 1:30 pm to 5 pm adult curfew every school day. No person who is not enrolled in a school shall be within the community, on any street, sidewalk, or alleyway within the City of Berwyn within that time span, nor shall any person "pass through" during that time; neither on foot, by bicycle, by car, or by city bus. All persons that need to reach a destination on the other side of Berwyn will need to take a mandatory detour around Berwyn, which is bordered by; Lombard Avenue on the east, Roosevelt Road on the north, Harlem Avenue on the west, and Pershing Road/39th street on the south.

(2) Outside the curfew time span, no person shall approach within less than fifty (50) feet of any Morton student or group of Morton students in any neighborhood or community within the City of Berwyn. Friends or not.

(3) For JSM sports, including football, basketball, swimming, etc,(a) No male person shall approach within less than fifty (50) feet of any cheerleader/pom-pon girl, or any cheerleader/pom-pon squad sitting within the stands, or within the parking lots and entry areas. On the football field, no male person shall approach within less than seventy five (75) feet of any performing cheerleaders/pom-pons. Neither shall any cheerleader or pom-pon girl approach within less than fifty (50) feet of any male person in the grandstands, parking lot, or entrance point, or within seventy five (75) feet of any male person on the football field.(b) No male person shall approach within less than fifty (50) feet of any female swimmer, basketball/soccer player at any time, nor shall any female swimmer or basketball/soccer player approach within less than fifty (50) feet of any male person.

Violations of the above laws will constitute statutory stalking, trespassing, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor and all violators will be arrested on sight. No questions asked and no warnings! And as especially most of the JSM cheerleader/pom-pon squad knows, statutory stalking is punishable by up to fifty (50) years in prison with a mandatory twenty (20) year minimum sentence. That is correct, JSM cheerleaders; talking to guys while in uniform, instead of getting you a demerit, will get you up to 50 years in prison, not just in Berwyn, but in the State of Illinois!

The car wash near the high school, as well as *all* other car washes throughout the city of Berwyn, are closed and forbidden by law to do any business from 1:30 to 5 pm every school day. Violators, including whoever is operating the car washes during adult curfew (1:30 pm to 5 pm every school day), will be arrested. Even restaurants and stores located within the City of Berwyn are forbidden to operate during adult curfew. During adult curfew, all adults are to remain indoors at all times, whether they are at home or at work and are to remain off all streets, sidewalks, alleys, and out of all parks and playgrounds. They are not even allowed to go to their cars to get something, either. And no, you can not even mow your front lawn or fix your front yard flower bed either during adult curfew.

To make it simple, by the way, as many people know, both Morton East and West now have a uniform policy. The Morton uniform is a white shirt, beige khaki pants and shorts, white socks, and brown shoes. The beige khaki shorts/pants are always visible and easily recognizable on all JSM students. Therefore, it is illegal in the entire City of Berwyn to approach within less than fifty (50) feet of any person wearing all or part of the uniform. Basically, anyone wearing beige pants/shorts is to be avoided at All times! Friends or not! In fact, Berwyn law also states clearly that all friendships formed in high school or earlier with classmates not part of the individual's graduating class are to be Immediately Terminated and Broken Off upon high school graduation! No questions asked! Any person in violation of the 50 foot law will be arrested for statutory stalking and attempted contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Also, within the City of Berwyn, as well as in the State of Illinois, it is illegal for boys and girls to be within less than seventy-five (75) feet of each other while outside the school building, including on the way to and from school. It is also illegal in the City of Berwyn for any adult male (anyone who is 18 years of age or older and/or has graduated or been expelled from any school) to approach within less than one hundred fifty (150) feet of any female school student, including and especially female students enrolled at J Sterling Morton West High School outside the adult curfew time span (1:30 PM-5:00 PM) within any part of the City of Berwyn. Friends or not. Violators will be immediately arrested and charged with statutory stalking, which is punishable by up to fifty (50) years in prison with a mandatory minimum twenty (20) year sentence, in the State of Illinois.

That's what their culture did. Had they behaved like American kids instead of ghetto trash this would not have happened.

As for any and all persons who live in Berwyn and are at home, during adult curfew, all persons at home are to remain either within their house or the backyard at all times. No person who is at home shall be outside the fenced and/or enclosed area or areas of the parcel of land the house sits on at any time. That includes the house, garage, and back yard. Anyone who has an unfenced backyard is to stay inside the house for the entire duration of adult curfew with all doors and windows closed. Violators will be arrested on sight for trespassing, curfew violation, and disorderly conduct, no questions asked. Any homeowner who comes in any type of contact, including social contact, with any school student will also be charged with statutory stalking, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

First day of school is August 22nd! All people who live or work within the city of Berwyn had better be ready to remain indoors every school day from 1:30 to 5:00 pm, and all people from outside of Berwyn who have business on the other side of Berwyn better be ready to take a detour around Berwyn every school day! Violators will be immediately arrested for trespassing, as well as pre meditated statutory stalking and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, no questions asked! During adult curfew, the only people that will be allowed outdoors within the City of Berwyn are police officers, school students getting out of school, and bus/school van drivers. Additionally, parents are no longer allowed to pick up students from school anymore. As with all others who are seen outside within the City of Berwyn during adult curfew, violators will be arrested.

And once again, Berwyn is bordered by;
Lombard Avenue on the east,
Roosevelt Road on the north,
Harlem Avenue on the west,
and Pershing Road/39th street on the south.

You're lucky the Principal didn't order the full militarization of the Berwyn area especially due to an incident between an expelled male student and a sophomore female student which occured on Monday, May 22nd, 2000 at 2:40 pm, on 24th and Home, just off school property. As this was the first day of school for Morton West High School and Berwyn District 100 schools, people within the Berwyn area could have easily, once again, woken up this morning to tanks lumbering down the streets, armed humvees speeding by, soldiers in camouflage clothing carrying AK-47s, M-16s, MP-5s, and a neighborhood under full Martial law every school day from 6 am to 6 pm. And that means, everyone within the geographical area bordered by Austin Blvd on the east, Interstate 290 on the north, 1st Avenue on the west, Pershing Road/39th street on the south, and Ogden Avenue on the southwest from Pershing and Ogden to 1st Avenue.

Only police/law enforcement officers, school bus/school van drivers, Pace/CTA bus drivers, and crossing guards are allowed to be in an outdoor area during adult curfew! That includes the streets, sidewalks, alleys, parks, and all else. Once again, anyone else seen outside within the City of Berwyn during adult curfew, including in the car, on a bicycle, etc, will be arrested and will be charged with trespassing, curfew violation, and pre meditated stalking and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The only other type of people permitted in any outdoor area within the City of Berwyn during adult curfew is school students that have been, or are being, dismissed from school for the day.

New laws just in for the City of Berwyn;

(1) No school student shall make any friends, nor shall any school student form any type of friendship with, any student not part of the individual's graduating class.

(2) Under absolutely no circumstances shall any school student make any friends with, or form any type of friendship/acquaintanceship with, any student of the opposite sex/gender.

All violators will be arrested for statutory stalking, as well as pre meditated trespassing.

Additionally, all students of Morton West High School are to exit only through the cafeteria doors on Home Avenue during dismissal. Students who exit any other way will be arrested and charged with pre meditated statutory stalking. Home Avenue is barricaded off from Riverside Drive to Cermak Road from 2:30 to 3:00 pm and an armed four-person SWAT team equipped with conventional SWAT weapons plus an electric shield is now stationed within the area. In the unlikely event (due to the Adult Curfew for the entire City of Berwyn, every school day from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm) that any trespasser is seen within the barricaded area, that person will be immediately slammed by SWAT, handcuffed, and taken directly to jail, no questions asked, and any trespasser within the barricaded area who attempts to flee the police may be fired upon by SWAT.
