The sentence of ONLY sixty days in jail for engaging in outrageous and uncaring actions that resulted in the deaths of two people is so strange, that therefore: one, I wonder whether the judge or perhaps one of her relatives is good friends with somebody, for instance one of the lawyers, involved in the case; and two, whether the fact that the case was given to Judge Carol Kipperman, and instead of another judge, was really thru the random assignment that most court systems say they follow but many of them often don't.

In other words, two of the dirty secrets of the court system are: one, in many jurisdictions the rulings in a lot of the cases, and especially some of the bigger cases, are first quietly arranged and choreographed in secret off the record meetings, and therefore the open to the public courtroom sessions are nothing more charades and window dressing so as to put a veneer of legitimacy on items, decisions, and processes that are as illegal as can be; and two, while so as help prevent undue influence and illegal fixes, the judge for each case is supposedly normally assigned at random, rather than anyone having the power to pick a specific judge to preside over a specific case, however in reality some court systems employ various tricks so as to make sure that in certain cases a certain particular judge, and rather than a judge truly picked at random, is selected to hear the case.
