Lynn Barker is going to jump into bed with them. SCARY!!!!

<quoted text>So you think a VAPer shut out? Nobody else gets ANY votes? Even the Polchow brothers got votes when they both ran at the same time against Gene Siegel. The arrogance of your post is appalling. Nobody came to my house yet except Sally, and I never met her before. She will be the only trustee that gets my vote.
I would vote for the Polchow brothers now. More integrity than the current clowns.

Ridge police chief to intern in Dist. 127˝

Published as part of the March 2, 2006 edition.

School district may pay Baldermann’s tuition at Western Illinois
By Maura Vizza

Chicago Ridge Police Chief Tim Baldermann is returning to college to earn his school superintendent certification possibly with financial assistance from Chicago Ridge School District 127˝.

The District 127˝ board of education unanimously voted Tuesday to approve of Baldermann working as an unpaid administrative intern and for Superintendent Bernard Jumbeck to sign a contract with Western Illinois University. The district is expected to pay $9,000 for Baldermann to attend classes at WIU in exchange for the police chief completing the internship with the district, said Jumbeck.

Finley Junior High, Ridge Lawn and Ridge Central schools are part of District 127˝. The certification program is just another educational tool, Baldermann said, and will not jeopardize his job as police chief. He said he has no plans to leave his job as chief anytime soon.

“Most people in my profession try to better themselves. A lot of chief’s go for their master’s [degree]. For me, it’s the opportunity to pick up the [superintendent] endorsement at the end of my career,” explained Baldermann, 39.“I’m just learning and seeing how the central office position works. The leadership skills I will learn [I can] apply at the police force.”

Baldermann is president of the New Lenox School District 122 board of education. He has previously taught classes from kindergarten to high school, as well as criminal justice classes at Moraine Valley Community College. He said he loves education and wants to widen his opportunities after he puts in 30 years with the police force. He has served with the Chicago Ridge police for 18 years.

Even with the certification to receive a superintendent endorsement, Baldermann said he may not even use it in the future, but wants to learn.

Beginning this month and continuing through June, Baldermann will take eight weekend classes at Western Illinois University’s Moline campus. From July 1 until June 30, 2007 he will complete a full-time internship, outside of his regular job, in District 127˝ by working with the superintendent, said Jumbeck.

Jumbeck is scheduled to retire this summer and will be replaced by Joyce Kleinaitis. Kleinaitis currently serves as assistant superintendent in Summit Hill School District 161 in Frankfort. Through the internship Baldermann will help with district policies, grant writing, work with public relations and gain additional leadership skills, said Jumbeck.
Jumbeck said the situation is advantageous for all parties involved. The new superintendent will receive assistance and learn about the community from Baldermann, who is familiar with the village. He can also aid with school security through finding possible grants and looking into connecting school computers to the police department. Baldermann can also learn about the administrative side of the district, Jumbeck said.

“It’s a beneficial crossover,” said Jumbeck

Grampa Jim set up sweetheart deals for his pals and son in law and now he sold his house and business and wants you to give him a sweetheart deal. He wants to be reelected without planning to tell you where he is going to live after the election. He is not telling the truth. He just like the song Already Gone. He is prettysmart though, he sells flowers across the street from the biggest cemetary in the world. Priceless.

Truly you jest, the VAP is raping and pillaging this town, and it's only gonna get worse with Chuckie and Company in charge. Schleyer, Cardin and Durkin are the only hope. If they ain't been on you door its because you weren't home. Wake up already. And Lynn Barker is the worst. Read the above article. She was School Board president at the time. Really disgusting!!!!!!!!!!

Baldylocks came to board to have them foot his internship, which in turn he would then write grants, help out etc. for school this is something that happens in all districts this wasn't just "set up" for Baldy. He had several feelers out to various districts for similar set ups and he came back to Barker board and said I got another offer at another district. There was no Rallying of troops or public outcry at a meeting -- the deal just ended at baldy's request.

Baldermann bailed out because of public outcry. At the time he was are police chief, and mayor of new lennox and Lynn Barker thought it would be a good idea for the residents of Chicago Ridge to pay for his education in yet another career.as far as writing any grants why wouldn't any police chief do that for the town he lives and works in.That is why we shouldn't of changed are residency rules for him.

I work three jobs. Some people have to or merely want to who is anyone to say you can't. Especially in our economy. The grant writing would have been the benefit to the school district as well as the help the position would have also provided. You don't' just write grants you have to be working in the schools to do so. I never saw any public outcry just him getting the job somewhere else. I went to board meetings and most often no one was ever there but me

Proving residency is a matter of intent. If your home is for sale and you are shopping for /building a home in a far south suburb then your intention is to LEAVE the Village. What kind of hypocrite allows his name to go on a ballot for election when he knows he is LEAVING? The business and his home for sale. Where is he moving. Tell us that he is buying Davies' house and everyone will be happier.

And if the new Mayor, potentially new clerk and trustees know that their runningmate has his property for sale and is moving soon and they allowed this to happen, they are in a conspiracy and they are proving that they can't be trusted. Is the truth too much to ask for?

Ask Jim if his business is for sale and where he is moving to. Ask Jim if he pushed his son-in-law up the ladder from sewer worker to Deputy Police Chief and helped him get a "Balderman pension". That is if you see him to ask him those questions. Since he doesn't live here you might not find him.

Why do people make up stuff to post on here? You are misinformed. Jim Saunoris does live in Chicago Ridge. Maybe you should check your facts next time.
