those two deviates should go to prison for a looooong time. a fender bender? wtf? no one should be touching anyone over something so benign. i hope the judicial system doesn't go easy on them because they're 'young and didn't know any better'. there comes a time when people need to take responsibility for their actions... apparently, their time is now.

I hope these two rot in prison for a long time. They knew exactly what they were doing! Maybe they should not have been smokin so much dope and then they would have had a clear enough mind to make better choices and value others lives. The victim just barely started his life before it was taken away at the hands of such low life people. Check out their myspace page. All they talk about is getting high and drinking daily....BTW, I thought the girl was pregnant!

I agree totally. I would bet everything that they were drunk and high that night. And what else makes me sick is that they got their bail reduced to $50,000 from 1 million...and now they walk free. Eric is gone and they should be too.

These two individuals are hateful souls - both of them equally! There is no place in society for them. They should be taken out of society and left in prison so they can experience the hate they have shown Eric, a wonderful human being. Eric didn't deserve that.

I think you people should think about all the stupid things you have done in your lives instead of passing judgement on KIDS making a stupid mistake. Do you really think they meant for this boy to die. I think not how many of you have hit someone or had an argument with someone. Think about it. Most kids on my space write all kinds of crap to get a reaction. You do not know these kids I personally know one of them and I know that never in their lifetime would they wish this tragedy to happen. You have to remember that all the families and friends involved in this are hurting.Im so very sorry for erics family and the pain they are going through. Those among you who are without sin or stupid decisions be the first to cast the first stone. I put this bible quote in my own style. Think about it, it could be your son or daughter who is walking in their shoes.

Well then maybe we should put dumb Julie and dumb Jude's parents on trial since they raised a couple of real idiots. I love how your retards try to defend morons that make "stupid mistakes". Give me a break...Jude has already had problems with the law for drugs...maybe he was on them when this happened! If it was Eric that had caused Jude's death you'd be singing a different tune! I hope Jude and Julie get the book thrown at them...hard!

I agree completely I know one of also very well actaully. This was not intentional they never ment for this kid to die...But like u said how many times have all these other people passing judgement got into stupid little fights to get their point across. I'm not justifying fighting what so ever. I'm just saying all these people that are trying to say they should rot in hell...need to take a step back and really think about what an accident really is...Everything happends for a reason. I send my prayers to erics friends and family. This was an unfortunate event lets all learn from it.

Sorry Princess but this was NO accident. Maybe they did not intend for him to die but he DID! And the Hit..YES it WAS intentional! Yes we all make stupid mistakes BUT we all must pay the price for the mistakes we make. Common sense tells you that when you hit someone, there is a chance that they can fall, hit their head and die. These chances are extremely escalated when the person doing the hitting is 6'5 and the person getting hit is 5'6. There was no reason for this. No, I do not personally know the the two responsible for Hoss's death and cannot possibly know if they are remorseful but I can't help but wonder why they left the scene if they were truely remorseful??? And intimidating a witness...hmmmm Are they sorry for what they have done or just sorry that someone came forward?

Hopefully in time, they WILL be truely remorseful and I will pray for that but for now, I pray for my family and all of the many friends of Hoss. R.I.P. Hoss! God Bless you Eric, Mia, Cody and Dustin..We luv U

They aren't kids. Young, yes. Hopefully they will learn from this. They didn't use very good judgment that night. I don't think they meant for him to die but they did intend to hurt him. There was NO ARGUMENT between them. It was Julie that was going off because she didn't want to give her information. They hit the car Eric was in. This was more than just a "stupid mistake" None of their actions that night were right and for that they should and will pay the price, just like any other person would. They should have more charges on them. Like Felony Hit and Run and Leaving the scene of an accident.
As for your myspace comment... Pictures say it all. and about the families hurting. Jude and Julie are the cause of it. So how dare you say anything about their families hurting. Eric's family is experiencing the hurt. Shame on you trying to get any sympathy for their family or friends.

Okay... I think it's obvious that whoever wrote this is a moron. What do you mean "let's all learn from it?" I think the only thing we need to learn from this is to beware of degenerates out there who are whacked out on drugs that could kill you just because you happened to be who they ran into with their car. And heaven forbid you'd try to do the appropriate thing by exchanging information as the law required in this situation.

Julie has been a bully her entire life and has gotten away with it, thanks to her Mom. It's time to do something about bullies. They should be taken away from their parents when they start exhibiting the signs and before they ruin many other lives. May God have mercy on their souls...while they rot in jail!

To the family... What a terrible loss you must feel, and nothing is going to ease the pain but time and justice. My heart goes out to you all. I think about you every day and I don't even know you. May Eric know that his life had a great impact on those around him. He sounds like a very loving person. Don't worry, he's with you always and knows all that is going on. I truly believe that.

I read all of these messages and am overcome with sadness when I hear anyone could think of this as an "accident" Servailance showed that Eric was "running" away from Julie who was out of control with anger, to think that Eric would follow the law and try to get information regarding the rear end he was part of. Eric was too much of a gentleman ( taught by his parents) to fight back at a "Girl" that was hitting and shoving him, so he ran back to his car. He was struck from behind by a 6'5" bully and never saw the blow coming, he was climbing into the back of his car. How dare anyone say this was an accident! It was an intentional blow thrown to hurt someone. I guess Jude can say he accomplished something in his life he intended to do, He did hurt someone so badley that it caused death. Judes parents must be very proud that his blow struck a young man that was too kind to defend himself against a girl and that blow ultimately caused his death!
I am 62 years old and can say "yes I have done stupid things in my life, but I never have hit anyone with the intention of causing pain" I believe there are a lot of young people that have the same morals that I was brought up on, That was was evident at the funeral of Eric. I thank God that there are still parents that believe in teaching their children respect and love of others. Unfortunately the parents of Jude and Julie some how never got the message that they were responsible for teaching their children self control and respect for others, So if these parents are hurting so be it they didn't do their jobs. On the other hand Eric's parents did do their job and society let them down, How can we allow these monsters to continue and walk the streets while Eric's parents attend the funeral of their first born? Eric "Hoss" Means has left a hurt so deep it will never be repaired, He is my oldest Grandson and I love him beyond any words could convey. Nothing can stop the hurt I feel when I see his parents hurting so deeply, To the person that said "all" families are hurting because this was a mistake I ask Please don't try to compare the hurt of the Means family to the families of Jude and Julie it is an insult! Obviously you have never lost a child!

I TOTALLY AGREE THAT JUDE SHOULD BE LOCKED UP FOR A LONG TIME. THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND HE NEEDS TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE. AN INNOCENT LIFE HAS BEEN LOST BECAUSE OF HIS STUPIDITY. I DIDNT KNOW ERIC BUT FROM THE SOUNDS OF IT HE WAS AN AMAZING CHILD WHO HAD A LOT GOING FOR HIM. UNLIKE JUDE WHO I HAVE KNOWN FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW AND HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT WAS A PICE OF SHIT! I DONT KNOW HOW ANYONE CAN COMPARE THE TWO LIFES. ERIC HAD THE WORLD AT HIS FINGERTIPS, AND ALL JUDE HAD WAS HIS DRUGS AND ALCOHOL. I KNOW HE DIDNT "MEAN" TO KILL ERIC, BUT THE FACT IS HE DID. I HOPE THAT HE WILL LEARN FROM HIS MISTAKES AND GROW UP! AND WHILE HES IN JAIL STERALIZE THE DUMBASS! 3 KIDS IN 2 YEARS IS REDICULOUS! I JUST PRAY THAT MICHELLE HAS THE BRAINS TO KEEP THE PRECIOUS LITTLE GIRL AWAY FROM HIM UNTILL HE LEARNS HOW TO BE A MAN. AND THE ONE THAT’S PREGNANT WITH HIS KID NOW NEEDS TO GIVE UP THAT CHILD FOR AN ADOPTION AND GIVE IT TO A LOVING FAMILY WHO WILL ACTUALLY GIVE IT A LIFE WORTH LIVING. HELL WE ALREADY KNOW HE DOESNT GIVE A CRAP HE ALREADY GAVE ONE CHILD AWAY AND DISOWNED ANOTHER. I GUESS ALL WE CAN DO IS PRAY!
