Suffolk completes 150-acre open space land buy

Suffolk County has closed on the purchase of 150 acres of land in the Mastic-Moriches area that had been destined for a drug housing development and sober homes.
The properties, owned by Beechwood Moriches Building Corp., were acquired in partnership with the Town of Brookhaven for $18 million.
Of the $18 million,$10 million came from the county and Brookhaven chipped in $8 million,$2 million of which came from state funding, a county spokesman said.A possible methadone clinic may be added.
These Sobers home sand 1/2 way homes will be built and a fine addition to Mastic.
