Buyers beware of Jayson, he steals money and does not deliver furniture ordered! I placed an order on April 25, 2007 and paid $1076.96 for a dining room table. I never received my table and have been requesting a refund for almost a year now. I have sent a certified letter to your registered owner Neil Jay Atchinson on October 8, 2007, with no response. I have had nothing but excuses from your kind staff. Unfortunately you are not much of a man to even return my calls. I guess you take pleasure in ripping people off. since I live in NC you know to file a small claims against you I have to be there in person. I guess you figure I will just go away and you can steal my money from me. I hope any buyer reading this will be aware of what kind of store you really are! Shame on you for having no conscious and not honoring your supposed polices!

I had the same unfortunate expeience with Dining Room Superstore aka Jay's Furniture Barn. This business is a sham and I am furious! I also get no response for paying for a table I ordered then never received and never got refunded over 1 year ago. They give me the run around and now the 800 number doesn't even work. Shame on you is right!!!

for every person who has a bad experience with Jays Furniture barn 10 more have had good!I have always had my furniture on time and once I had to return a table and did not have any problems!

I had the same painstaking experience with Dining Room Superstore aka Jay's Furniture Barn. I placed an order on September 5, 2007 and paid $383.35 for a bistro table. I never received the table so I cancelled on Feb 6, 2008 (Shame on me for waiting so long) requesting a refund and now the 800 number doesn't even work. I'm now working with my credit card company to get a refund and let them take legal actions against them.
This is my first and only issue with online orders. I'm very disappointed.

All consumers have been either given a refund or provide with information on how to get there money back. Dining Room Super Store, was a different company than Jay’s Furniture Barn, they were renting space in the same building and purchasing some inventory from them to fill orders. I was not the owner of this company and was doing by best to follow the policies set forth by the owner. I deeply regret any hassles or loss caused Dining Room Super Store. Dining Room Super Store is no longer in business, I truly believed in the business and thought it had a chance to be very successful, however with the down turn in housing and rapidly rising transportation costs the owner was put in a very difficult position and forced to close.

Mr. Atchinson,

You might have believed in the business but you certainly didn't do right by it. I still have not received my money you owe me and knowing the situation you were in, you should not have continued to take orders and clients money knowing you could not deliver the merchandise. However, I might not see this money in my lifetime but I do believe in God's vengeance which is far worse than anything that I can do. So one way or another we all will answer for what we have done, or what we allowed to happen!

Everyone who ordered from Dining Room Super Store should have recieved a letter stating how to go about getting a refund. If you have been unable to get a refund from your CC company, and have not recieved one via other means please, e-mail a copy of your order to [email protected] I am paying these refunds out of my own pocket as fast as I can.

We did not receive a letter, and our credit card company did not honor a refund, because of the length of time involved. I will send a copy of our bill to this email. We are owed almost $2,000.00.
I look forward to a refund.

We've purchased from Jay's Furniture Barn on 3 occasions. We've been pleased with our purchases and the price. We dealt with Jay's in person and they were friendly and flexible.

I had the same situation as everyone else. My order was placed in June 2007. He stole my money. I paid with a debit card and was not able to be refunded by my bank. After calling and emailing without any return response, I began calling Jayson at Jay's Furniture Barn. If you call enough, you can actually talk to him in person. He tells you to go to your credit card company like it's not his fault. When that doesn't work, he tells you his lawyer will contact you. He took my info three times, but I never did get a letter from the lawyer. Then I emailed him and he told me he would skip all the steps necessary and he would personally refund my money. That was 5 months ago, I'm still waiting.

Dining Room Superstore aka Jay = Shister!

The website advertises 21 business day deliveries but that has not been my experience.

My first correspondence to Dining Room Superstore call center was August 6. I was advised that 1) orders can take up to six weeks to be delivered from the manufacturer and 2) my order was placed less then 21 business days ago; so I should check back.

On August 13, I contacted the call center and was advised they'd check the status of my order, then I was sent an email stating the furniture would ship the week of September 7. No explanation as to why there was a delay.

On September 4, I sent an email requesting status (I had not heard from ANYONE since 8/14/07). I did not get a response so I called in. I was advised there were notes stating my order was again delayed until the week of October 3rd. No one gave me the courtesy of either a phone call or email.

On October 4, I receive an email stating that my furniture delivery was put on an extended backorder. The manufacturer of the furniture had not specified a reason for the backorder. Further, they had a call scheduled in 2 weeks with the manufacturer at which time they'd give me status. This was unacceptable so I sent an email, as I was instructed to do, to cancel the order. I did not get a response (Again) so I contacted the call center. I was asked to resend the email directly then she would cancel the order, which she did. October 9, I called to check the status of my refund and was told it would take up to 2 cycles; a crafty way of saying 60 days! I asked to speak with a manager but was advised they work 8a - 5p. I was given the manager's name as the person to contact. When I called the next day, I was told she was not available and transferred to the clerk I first spoke with in August who did absolutely nothing. It took 24 hours to debit my account! I emailed Jayson Atchinson CEO of the company on 10/10/07 and outlined the events listed. He promised to cut a check by Friday 10/12/07. I have emailed him 5 times now for status (last time 10/30) but have yet to receive my refund.

According to the BBB, there have been 37 complaints against Dining Room Superstore in the last 36 months.

We bought a sofa and ther salesman sold us warantes
to fix the sofa if it becomes damaged or soiled.
We brought it in because the arm was messed up and had a rip in it so they sewed it up and it looked like an amature did it. we are not happy with them. they didn't even clean it like they promised

I bought a Calais Oval Wood Counter Table & 6 stools on February 19, 2007 in the amount of $1283.10. I kept in touch with you yourself on the phone and emailed employees constantly. You told me yourself there was a delay in customs and would get back to me and never did. I contacted the BBB on September 11, 2007 and no response from you. Then I contacted the Attorney General Mike Cox on May 1, 2008 and still no response. As far as you sending letters you would think I would have been the first to get one. still have yet to receive a refund and am now contacting Morgan & Morgan out of Tampa, Fl to sue you. As far as the BBB you are the owner and Jayson is the CEO. You can contact me and settle this outstanding debt or you can wait and see how far I will go to get my money back.:)
