Law enforcement has better things to do than go after a marijuana user.

Your writing indicates you have more than an adequate supply of mind altering drugs at your disposal. Sorry about your cancer.

<quoted text>POPO doesn't have to go after many because they come right to them. Every night toads get all shizfaced and decide they have to go out cruising or off for munchies. Everyone piles in a p.o.s. car with burned out taillights, one headlight, tinted windows and turn up the music as loud as it can go,and away they go! When they get attention,it's from the local PD and as soon as the officer approaches the car and smells the burning rope, it's probable cause for a full shakedown and the dog arrives. Everyone is on the curb in cuffs and you can figure what happens next..... It could all be avoided if those ignorant %$# knew how to act in public. You draw attention-You get attention!
Solution to their problem: obey the law. BTW they should be careful around those police dogs they sometimes pee on druggies to stoned to get out of their way.

You guys are all too funny. Marijuana has such a bad rap, it will take generations to dispel. Yeah, you can get a real decent buzz off it, used to do that back in the 60s and 70s and did not use for decades. However, now that we have a serious, painful illness in the house, it is now used again for PAIN. If you know how it feels when you just use it for a high, then you will understand how it can help a pain patient. They are not looking for a high, just relief, and many have never touched it before. Would you rather have them on powerful opioids or a natural substance? Pain pills go for big bucks on the street, if medical marijuana is legal, trust me, those people will hold that weed near and dear and not be selling it anywhere. It's a shame that so many get their pills and sell them, it is criminal to pain patients who really need them, and the state cracks down and limits them and makes all kinds of regs and laws. Knock it off boys, can't wait til one of you gets cancer or a disease that is so painful you can't leave your home and then you can't get meds for it. Have mercy. Everyone should write to their legislators and try to get some sort of program in place for people in pain, Georgia was the first state to legalize medical marijuana over a decade ago, but have no specific program in place. Many other states have passed the compassion law and have programs in place within months, so what's the problem? Speak up!!! And all you good ole boys out there selling illegally, give us pain patients a break. Would hate to see your Mommy or Daddy or any loved one in pain that MJ would help, but you can't get it legally. Think about it. Guess what, if the law gets enforced and they have a program, you will be able to grow it legally and sell it to the clinics or as a compassionate caregiver, there are big bucks there. So don't screw things up, be patient, and when it goes through, don't have a criminal background or you will be out forever. There is big money to be made growing medical marijuana, so stay clean and give us all a break and get this program going. Don't be stupid all your lives, look at the potential $$$. Wouldn't it be fun to have 60 plus plants growing legally and no one can do anything about it and you make big money. Please, help pain patients, stay clean and be patient, please! A loved one with cancer or chronic pain could be in your very near future, and you will be sorry to watch them suffer.

Expressing how you can't wait for one of my fellow Georgians to get cancer is not a proven approach for a damned yankee to win friends over to their side of an issue under discussion in our beloved state. Bless your little heart.

Florida is moving very fast to get medical marijuana. I wonder if Georgia will miss out on the massive 500 million + dollars in tax and tourism revenue?(per year that is!)

I think it's a shame Marijuana isn't legal in Ga. My mother has dementia and it can calm her down and no side effects like the prescription drugs supplied by the pharmaceutical companies. They can prescribe morphine but not marijuana. That's not right. If something can give you a better quality of life it should be legalized.

Georgia Care Project was on the local radio NPR not long ago. GA Care has a plan for medical marijuana to happen in GA! Amen.
