Until you produce proof of your statement I prefer to believe the evidence brought out in court against him, and believe him guilty as charged. Empty statements with no proof are worthless in a courtroom and here when trying to get people to believe you. Are you Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton? Your baseless post sounds as if you are.

If you watched that special on CNN and have any doubts of his guilt, you're an idiot. Did you see how uncomfortable he got when the interviewer surprised him with questions about an autobiography he wrote that detailed his training in strangling people?? Did you also catch the part about Wayne Williams' supporters pressuring witnesses to retract their court testimony against Williams??

Even Williams' defense attorney wouldn't say he was innocent! When asked if he was guilty, innocent, or it's not proven, she responded, "not proven."

I watched the special if anyone with a few brain cells would not have any questions of his guilt.Obviously, the poster above wasn't watching the same special even the black witnesses were lying?? Sorry folks he is the killer, and a hate monger of black kids deal with it and get on with your ridiculos theory he is innocent. If you think for one minute it was a white man or the klan they passed the lie dector test and were followed for months. To bad Wayne Williams, failed with flying colors 3 times with only 3 questions to answer. He had way to many holes in his story.

I am white and when he was convicted, I knew it was a mistake. But, he was convicted by an almost all black jury who, I think, didn't know what the hell they were doing.

Wayne Williams was not convicted due to evidence, but because of his anger in court. There was plenty reasonable doubt in this case. That man should be free.

Yeah, there was no evidence against him, unless you count the body being found down stream after a cop under a bridge heard something large get dumped in there, then found Wayne Williams looking over the bridge, and the rare carpet fibers found on the victims he was convicted of killing that matched the ugly colored carpet in his van, oh and you also have to ignore dna of HIS DOG found on the victims (ok, that only came out recently), oh and then there were the witnesses who saw him with victims he denied even knowing, and the fact that the victims were all strangled and he had training in strangling people. Sure, there's no evidence as long as you ignore all of that stuff!!

What's funny is, every time a new piece of evidence pops up, like the dog dna, and the new mitochondrial dna, it always points towards Williams!! Not one new piece of evidence over the years has proven he couldn't have done or that someone else did it!

But I guess it's more fun for idiots like you to think you're smarter than everyone else because you figured out the "conspiracy."

Wasting your breath with this bunch Sage, remember this is the same bunch that believes OJ is innocent. If a man is black he is innocent to them. They care more about releasing a black murderer than protecting black children.

Sage, you said it all. These idiots that think he was framed should be in the cell next to Williams. This guy is just looking for sympathy from a different generation hoping that new, younger people will believe some of his ranting. The evidence was clear to 12 jurors and that is all that needs to be said.

Wayne Williams was guilty. He wrote a paper about him training on the weekends for the CIA, that is nothing but BS. The CIA would do extensive training day in and day out for a long period of time. Wayne wouldn't answer questions when confronted about his BS. 68% in the poll believed him guilty also.
Hey Nat, he can't come to your neighborhood, but you may go to his.

An American Hero? What did he do for America? That's ridiculous and ignorant.

The technology of the MRI can be used (as reported by media and scientific reports) to report if someone is telling the facts or a lie at 98% accuracy. Appling this technology would break the system wide open and a case like Williams would be an idea nutcracker to the system. It's not just people being convicted for crimes they did not commit in black-and-white, but stop the law "working" different ways in different jurisdiction so that it really does not matter what the law says, a localized system can make it work against (or for) anything they find unacceptable (or acceptable) regardless what the law is. A MRI lie detector test would prove Williams guilt or innocence, point blank.

It would be nice, but I don't see it happening. One problem is that it isn't 100% accurate. Our current system of justice isn't 100% accurate either, but defense attorneys would object to this more than anyone. Most of them know deep down that 99.999% of their clients are guilty as hell. This will not help them. This won't allow defense liars to try to confuse the jury and misrepresent facts, or pay for "expert witnesses" who will distort things. This will show that their clients are guilty, but they'll complain that their clients are victims of the 2% inaccuracy.

Then there are the 5th amendment issues. You could only do this if the defendant agreed to it. No defendant could be forced to give a statement and get hooked up to this machine. I think the 5th amendment is my least favorite amendment.

Wayne Williams was proven guilty and should have been given the death penalty. He's locked up for life and that's what eats him alive every day. Let him sit in that cell and suffer eternal boredom. He can whine and lie all he wants to but he's not getting out prison... ever.

LIGHTEREDKNOT WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? THAT MAN IS INNOCENT AND THE FACT THAT HE WAS CHARGED WITH THE 2 CRIMES THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHILD MURDERS OUGHT TO PROVE THAT ALONE. I'VE KNOWN HE WAS INNOCENT FROM THE BEGINNING, I DIDN'T NEED CNN TO TELL ME. I STUDY CRIMES, AND HIS IS THE WORST CASE OF POLICE AND PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT I'VE EVER SEEN. BESIDES THAT, I BELIEVE THERE WERE AT LEAST 2 SEPARATE KILLERS AND POSSIBLY 3 THAT KILLED THESE PEOPLE. BASED ON A PROFILE OF THE CRIMES. BOY KILLER WAYNE YOU TOO ARE AN IDIOT, IF YOU BELIEVE THE COURT SYSTEM IS PERFECT YOU ARE NUTS, WHY DON'T YOU READ SOME INFO FIRST BEFORE YOU SPOUT OFF DRIBBLE THAT IS NONSENSE. MY GOODNESS, NEVER HEARD SUCH CRAP, I HOPE YOU DON'T EVER GET ACCUSED OF A CRIME AND HAVE TO FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF HOW BAD OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM IS.

OK LESBIANN, how about if they turn Wayne Williams loose in your neighborhood. How many boys would he have to kill before you changed your mind?

New evicence is uncovered year after year, and it always points right back at Wayne Williams. Not one new discovery has ever pointed at anyone else.
