This parade is now 114years old...a lot of work goes into this parade...the members are volunteers...it's quite an under taking.

Haven't watched the Mummer's parade in ages. In fact, I haven't watched any parades in a long time. Interests change over the years. What I used to enjoy years ago, now seems to bore me. It's a shame though. The Mummers were always a festive part of the holidays. The Mummers obviously work very hard to perform for the public. I'm sure they are still appreciated by many and I hope they continue to be successful.

The parade lasts all day...and the different groups compete for prizes...it's definitely a Philly thing...like Cheesesteaks and Hoagies...enjoy.

I'm glad you enjoyed it...it's a long tradition here...many of the groups consist of many family members. If you like you can find more on you tube...Take care.
